On arrival we found the house to be unclean in many areas including the kitchen where there were food deposits on cabinets and some dirty crockery, implements and glasses - I accept the latter might have been “washed” by previous occupants but not checked by the housekeeper. The carpets/rugs were fairly threadbare and had not been hoovered. Some of the furniture was on its last legs literally and seat covers marked and threadbare. We also had a problem with the front door which seems to be a recurring problem for other guests and we were locked in at one point as we could neither get in nor out of the door and had to go out through a patio door until we could get someone to come and fix it. On the plus side, there is ample space to cook and prepare meals in the kitchen and a good communal space for eating together. As the hobs are induction, it would make sense to have more induction pans that can be used on them and the old pans which can’t be used thrown out. The showers were powerful and excellent with plenty of hot water. Overall, we felt the property was tired and in need of renovation.

Other wise it was all good. This is a superb location with access to lots of events and sights. It was also quite private, yet with ample space for a large party, which ours was.
