Create fantastic memories at the Big House By The Sea. Set in 4.5 acres of private grounds, this amazing house on the West coast of Wales, enjoys fantastic views over the sea and mountains and can accommodate up to 30 under one roof. The 100m2 function room can be your own nightclub with glitter ball and sound system or a Yoga Studio or even a wedding venue. There is also a Cinema, Bar, Hot Tub, Fire Pit and a 15 seat Wood-Burning sauna overlooking the bay. The house is a short walk to the local pub/restaurant, shop and beach below Llwyngwril village. Enjoy fabulous local walks and activities, and of course great sunsets over the bay.

Are you looking for a unique venue for a large gathering? Although we specialise in Hen Parties, Big House By The Sea is perfect for any special celebration. The Studio is a 100 square metre function room located in the rear gardens; it has a huge dancefloor, air conditioning, bar, Sonos sound system, disco lights and genuine 70s glitter ball - what more could you need!

If you are looking for a night off from cooking, we can recommend excellent caterers or you could book a table at the pub in the village or just eat fish & chips from the excellent 'chippy' in Fairbourne on the decking. We also have 2 BBQ areas. We can also recommend a mobile bar or cocktail makings service if you really want to get the party going!

Possible activities include: white water rafting at the National White Water Centre at Bala (30 mins away), paddle boarding in Barmouth or hire bikes for a leisurely ride from Dolgellau to Barmouth and back on the Mawddach Trail.

Accommodation is split across three floors:

Living - an incredibly social place

A highlight of the house is a proper bar with fridge to chill wines, beers and mixers, optics (working) and beer taps (decorative). A great place to pull up a stool and chat about the days adventures over a glass or two!

Cinema with large screen, surround sound, PS4, projector and proper cinema seats.

Games room with pool table located on the top floor.

Sonos music system fully linked throughout the entire house - once you have downloaded the Sonos App you can enjoy listening to your own music everywhere.

Comfy sitting room for relaxing with wood burning stove and leather sofas.

Dining room with large table seating 18 and an additional table which can accommodate 12.

Kitchen and pantry - well equipped with everything needed to prepare a light snack through to a full roast.

Sleeping - 13 bedrooms accommodate up to thirty guests (floor plan available).

Additional information: 

All bedding is hypoallergenic to accommodate those with Asthma and other allergies - we don't accept pets for this reason.

The house is accessible, with access ramps, accessible downstairs bedroom, en-suite and garden furniture.

Parking onsite for 20+ cars.

Outside seating areas front and back for 30.

Prices: 

Prices: We are currently offering off peak weekend breaks of two nights at £4800 and three nights at £5400. This works out at £80 and £60 pppn based on 30 guests - great value for money for such a big house with a bar, cinema, hot tub, sauna and your own nightclub.

Check in 2pm and check out 11am.

The price includes: VAT, exclusive use of house and grounds, heating, electricity, bed linen but not towels. We also include logs which should provide enough wood for the fire pit, wood burner, sauna and hot tub for the duration of your stay.
