Guests say

Guests have had delightful stays at Maenllwyd, praising its cosy charm, well-equipped amenities, and excellent location for exploring the coast and mountains. The property's cleanliness and tasteful decoration are frequently commended, as is the convenience of private parking. The garden offers beautiful views, enhancing the property's appeal. While some minor maintenance issues are noted, the overall experience is very positive, with guests often expressing a desire to return.

The property is consistently described as very clean and tidy, with multiple reviews affirming the high standard of cleanliness. This suggests that guests are generally very satisfied with the cleanliness of the cottage.

The location is highly praised for its proximity to both mountain and coastal walks, as well as being within walking distance to Porthmadog. The scenic views and easy access to local attractions contribute to a very positive perception of the location.

Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of a well-equipped kitchen and a cosy atmosphere. However, some guests note that the space can be tight for more than two people, which slightly impacts the comfort score.

Facilities are generally well-received, with the property being described as well-equipped. However, there are some concerns about maintenance issues such as the toilet flush and towel rails, as well as the absence of a washing machine and iron, which affects the score.

While guests appreciate the thoughtful touches like doggy treats and fresh flowers, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent across all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that while these gifts are appreciated, they may not be guaranteed for every guest.

The property is beautifully maintained and extremely comfortable. The garden area is perfect for sitting out either a meal or just a glass or two. Plenty of information about how everything works and suggestions for local walks which take you down to the stunning coastline. Porthmadog is a fifteen minute walk away and the location is perfect for exploring this beautiful part of the world. Absolutely loved it!

Very clean and tidy. Lovely view from the garden - unfortunately didn’t get to sit out much due to the weather! Gorgeous location. Lovely and quiet but a cafe/deli bar and restaurant on the doorstep overlooking the beautiful bay and it’s only a 15 minute walk to Porthmadog. We loved our stay in Maenllwyd and would stay again. Would have been good to have a washing machine and iron but I’m guessing that’s due to not having the space and there’s everything else you would need. Thank you for the milk and Welshcakes!

Facilities good , but bathroom /toilet downstairs , so needed to leave hall light on to facilitate night visits.
