Bron Y Foel Bach is a lovely, welcoming and cosy holiday cottage on the Llyn Peninsula with stunning sea views. Surrounded by hills, stone walls, grazing sheep and peaceful countryside, it’s an idyllic setting. This family holiday cottage is situated between the towns of Porthmadog and Criccieth so there is a great choice of restaurants and pubs nearby, as well as walks, attractions and activities.
Even though the living space is open plan to include the sitting, dining and kitchen areas, the spaces are divided by 5 steps leading from the kitchen to the sitting room which is really cosy and ideal to relax in after a day of exploring. Open the doors and let the sun shine in, or light a fire in the winter and sink into the squishy sofas to warm yourself through.
The local Oak beamed ceiling and underfloor heating add to the comfy feeling here.
Behind the sitting space is a simple dining table with chairs for six. From here steps lead down into the quaint kitchen that’s equipped with a small dishwasher, microwave, fridge and electric cooker. The airing cupboard is where you will find the washing machine and tumble dryer with hanging space for the double bedroom.
On the ground floor is a double bedroom which boasts views of the garden. There’s also a bathroom with loo, bath, shower, wash hand basin and heated towel rail.
Upstairs is a balustrade balcony with lovely views along the coastline of the Llyn Peninsula to Criccieth Castle. The bedroom upstairs has three single beds.
Outside is a paved area with table and chairs - the scent of roses and fuschias in the summer, as well as the stunning sea views, all add to the idyllic feel. Lawns and the orchard provide plenty of space for the children to play and adults to stroll.
Bron y Foel Bach is a former barn that is now a holiday cottage that’s offered many a happy holiday for families in North Wales. You can drive up, park the car, and not leave if you want a relaxing break away from it all. However, jump in the car and you can be on some of the best beaches the Llyn Peninsula has to offer, great villages and towns with eateries and shops, as well as attractions and walks. A happy family holiday awaits you at this pretty holiday cottage.
The bustling harbour town of Porthmadog lies on the Glaslyn Estuary and enjoys a stunning setting. The gateway to the Snowdonia National Park, Porthmadog is full of individual shops and restaurants, and home to the Ffestiniog Railway, where you can travel by steam through spectacular Snowdonia scenery, to Blaenau Ffestiniog. The pretty village of Borth Y Gest, with its cliffs and coves, is a short walk or drive from the town. The well known and unique Italianate village of Portmeirion is just down the coast. Situated on a rugged clifftop on its own private peninsula, Portmeirion, famous as the location of the TV show The Prisoner and the final episode of Cold Feet, is surrounded by miles of sandy beaches and woodlands. The area also boasts castles at Criccieth and Harlech, and superb unspoilt beaches such as Black Rock Sands, where the sands stretch as far as the eye can see. An ideal location for the attractions of Snowdonia and the The Lleyn Peninsula.
