Guests say

Guests consistently praise the lodge for its stunning views, secure garden, and pet-friendly amenities. The hot tub is a highlight, offering relaxation amidst beautiful surroundings. The property's design and cleanliness receive high commendations, and the thoughtful touches, such as welcome baskets, are appreciated. The owners are noted for their friendliness and helpfulness, enhancing the overall experience.

Guests that stayed at this property said

The lodge receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests frequently noting its immaculate condition. There is a single mention of areas needing dusting and marks on surfaces, but this appears to be an outlier in the context of overwhelmingly positive feedback.

The location is celebrated for its tranquillity, stunning views, and proximity to local attractions and walks. While all reviews are positive about the location, a perfect score is not given due to the lack of detailed information on accessibility and convenience to a wider range of amenities.

Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the lodge warm, well-furnished, and the bed particularly cosy. The spacious and private setting contributes to a comfortable stay, although there is a single mention of the property becoming warm for a dog, suggesting room for minor improvements.

Facilities are highly rated, with the hot tub, secure garden, and well-equipped kitchen being frequently mentioned. The high-speed internet and water pressure are also praised. A few suggestions for additional items like mirrors and a hoover prevent a perfect score.

The thoughtfulness of the hosts is evident in the welcome baskets and dog treats, which are mentioned in several reviews. However, as these gifts are subject to change and not guaranteed, the score reflects the positive impact of these gestures without setting an expectation for future guests.

Llandrindod Wells, located in Powys, Wales (within the traditional confines of Radnorshire), is a cheery and welcoming community. The town is home to a number of historical landmarks, such as elaborate Victorian and Edwardian era buildings. Towards the end of August, Llandrindod Wells hosts its annual Victorian Festival, sometimes known as "Victorian Week" among locals. Some attendees like to dress the part by donning period-appropriate Victorian, Edwardian, or other antique garb, and many stores along the main street decorate their storefront windows accordingly. A variety of annual events take place here including the Radnor Fringe Festival in Rock Park and the Radnor Hall Theatre's Live Music, Comedy, and Theatre Festival. Llandrindod Wells' lake is a Victorian relic and a famous tourist destination to this day, making it an ideal spot for a family outing. The Radnor Indoor Bowls Centre and the Radnor Outdoor Bowling Club provide a fun afternoon of bowling for residents and visitors alike. The Radnorshire Museum, the Rock Park & Heritage Centre, and the National Cycle Museum are all worth checking out if you're interested in the region's past. As you travel across Temple Gardens, don't forget to stop at the statue of Thomas Jones. Beacon Hill is a lovely 4-mile track, and The Spa Walk offers gradual slopes and the chance to taste the waters at the Chalybeate Spring in Rock Park thanks to the town's rural location. Llandrindod Wells is a wonderful destination for a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday.

We had a lovely stay at this stunning property, we were stunned on arrival! It is peaceful but still close enough to lots of wonderful places like Elan Valley, Hafren forest and you can get to the beach in an hour. The hot tub is fab, the secure garden is great for the dogs amd everything you should need is provided for you, even with a little welcome gift for us and the dogs! Thank you for having us, we will be back!

The only points we would make as dog owners is that the gates in the side fences should be solid and the same height as the fence as our dog and the ones to our side tried to get at each other through the open slats. In the property itself the only thing we could have had more of was hooks for towels/clothes in the bathroom and bedroom. Overall a fantastic property and would recommend.

For me it ticked every box that I needed. Nice warm modern farm style house everything clean and well built, plug sockets were plenty! Hot tub worked perfectly! Llandrindod Wells lake isn’t far away and also adds to the experience.
