The property is within walking distance of Newtown, offering both convenience and peaceful countryside views. The host is frequently described as helpful and responsive. While some minor maintenance issues and kitchen equipment shortages are noted, these do not detract from the overall positive experience. Thoughtful welcome gifts are often mentioned, though not guaranteed. Overall, the property provides an excellent base for memorable group getaways.

Most guests found the property clean and well-presented, with only occasional mentions of cobwebs, flies, or minor cleaning oversights. Bathrooms and the annexe are described as clean, and the overall impression is positive.

The cottage is praised for its peaceful setting with countryside views, yet remains conveniently close to Newtown and local amenities. Guests appreciate the balance of tranquillity and accessibility, though a few note the uphill walk from town.

Guests highlight the spaciousness and suitability for large groups, with ample bedrooms and living space. Some mention less comfortable beds or pillows and note that two bedrooms are accessed externally, which may not suit all parties.

Facilities such as the hot tub, cinema room, and large kitchen are highly valued. Some guests mention a need for more kitchen utensils, minor maintenance issues, and a lack of information packs, but overall facilities are considered very good.

Many reviews mention welcome gifts such as prosecco and chocolates, and the host is frequently described as helpful and attentive. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.

We had a great week at Cefnair Isaf. A group of 6 adults, 4 young children and a dog. There was plenty of room for us all and the lovely enclosed garden was used all week as we were there during the May heatwave. The owner was at the end of the telephone when needed and was very helpful and we appreciated the wine and chocolates left for us. We struggled a bit with storage in the bathrooms but just brought in the small outdoor tables (that fit under the large outdoor table) and these worked fine. Lidl and Tesco are just down the road and the small town was only a few minutes drive away. We would definitely return to this lovely property.

Beautiful house with everything we could possibly need. The hot tub relaxed our tired bodies and nerves (4 of our party were under 5). The views from the house are lovely. The proximity to Newtown by pass makes travel simple. Just DON'T trust the sat nav, go by the description on the arrival document. Our dogs had a great time running through the field opposite, which was free from livestock. The owner, Chris, was very welcoming and helpful.

Overall a great weekend break for a large family group. Lovely outdoor space to enjoy in good weather. Great garden and hot tub.Location just off a housing estate and a walk (not very scenic) to the town centre. House inside a little dated but nice enough. Some of equipment at house not working like tvs in bedrooms but didn’t matter to us, but may have done if weather was bad.
