Enjoy stunning lake and mountain views and a true off-the-beaten-track break at this three-bedroom detached house. Dog friendly, it’s set in 400 acres of national park and has a fabulous walled garden, while Betws-y-Coed is just 8 miles away.
Recharge your batteries with a break in the depths of Snowdonia – this period property offers a real escape from the everyday! Wend your way along a long country track, close to Llyn Crafnant, and a gate in a walled garden will welcome you to your holiday home-from-home. Step through the porch and the scene is set for a comfortable, companionable stay. An AGA in the kitchen is complemented by an electric oven and hob and all the essentials of home – a lovely space to cook, this room leads through to a dining room with a wood burner and wonderful views towards the lake. Linger at the table with maps or a board game, or wander into the lounge where there’s a second wood burner, sofas, and a Smart TV plus a large picture window. When it’s time to retire, three welcoming bedrooms all with lovely views and Smart TVs are on the first floor. Choose from the double with an en-suite bathroom, another double or a twin bedroom. In the morning, freshen up in the shower room before heading out for your day’s adventure. A handy external utility room has a washing machine, sink and lots of drying space for coats, boots and dog blankets. Outside, the walled garden has a pond, a stream and views towards the mountains and lake – enjoy al fresco dining or stroll to Llyn Crafnant. A lockable store for bikes and canoes is available.
Less than 3 miles away, Trefiw was first discovered by the Romans and became popular with Victorian visitors who hopped on a steamboat from Conwy to benefit from its mineral-rich waters. The Woollen Mills here have been producing traditional Welsh bedspreads and tweeds for over 150 years, and there are some fine eateries to enjoy in the village too. No visit to the Snowdonia National Park would be complete without a trip to Betws-y-Coed (8 miles), home to a number of outdoor activities and craft shops, galleries and cafes.
