This well-presented, detached bungalow stands next to the owner’s home, in an elevated position amongst lovely private grounds, in the village of Arthog. Set in the Snowdonia National Park, with stunning views across the beautiful Mawddach Estuary, this Arthog holiday cottage sits close to the foothills of Cader Idris and is only one mile from the lovely Cregennan Lakes, which boasts excellent trout fishing. With the popular beach at Fairbourne under three miles away, this Arthog cottage has been successfully refurbished to create light and modern holiday accommodation and a perfect base for a family getaway in this richly diverse area of Wales.

With the accommodation set entirely over the ground floor, this Arthog cottage has three bedrooms, a well-equipped kitchen with a fantastic electric AGA, a bright dining room and a sitting room, which boasts a cosy woodburner and large picture windows where guests are sure to spend hours studying the sublime views. Outside this Arthog cottage, there is a large lawned garden with a stream and a small pond, and a raised patio, which is perfect for enjoying an alfresco meal in the sun, with sweeping sights across the nearby estuary. This Arthog cottage enjoys a fantastic location perfect for walkers, mountain bikers, watersports enthusiasts or those simply in search of a peaceful getaway, surrounded by unforgettable scenery.

Just a few minutes’ walk away is the famous Mawddach Estuary Trail, which John Ruskin described as “one of the most sublime views in Europe”. Fairbourne is with easy reach, with its long sandy beach, golf course and narrow gauge steam railway. The area is renowned for its fantastic flora and fauna, and for a day trip, why not explore the ancient market town of Dolgellau, the popular resort of Barmouth or the attractive harbour village of Aberdovey?
