Guests say

Awel Y Llan is a well-received holiday cottage in Harlech, praised for its stunning views, spaciousness, and well-equipped amenities including a hot tub and games room. It's ideal for family gatherings and offers a comfortable stay with a variety of activities nearby. While some minor maintenance issues were noted, the overall experience is cherished by guests who often express a desire to return.

The majority of guests found the property to be clean and well-maintained, with only a few isolated comments about specific cleanliness issues. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule, indicating high standards of cleanliness overall.

The location is highly praised for its exceptional views and proximity to beaches and local attractions. The convenience of nearby activities and the peaceful setting contribute to a very positive perception of the location.

Guests consistently report that the property is comfortable, with ample space and facilities that cater to a wide age range. The presence of a games room, hot tub, and sauna adds to the comfort level, making it a relaxing stay for visitors.

The facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the games room and hot tub. However, some guests reported issues with hot water and the hot tub jets, suggesting room for improvement in maintenance. The well-equipped kitchen and secure storage for bikes are appreciated.

While some guests were delighted with the welcome basket and the property's overall preparedness for their stay, there were comments about the lack of a welcome tray and some basic kitchen items. As gifts like welcome trays are not consistently mentioned, it is not possible to accurately score thoughtfulness, and guests should note that such amenities are not guaranteed.

Property needs a proper deep clean, I left the rubbish I found in my bedroom on the bedside table but the cobwebs I left untouched. The kitchen sink is a disgrace and main downstairs lights look to be from the last century, paint around the internal arch needs attention. Double glazing seems to let in the cold, not sure how. Overall, very comfortable, generous sized rooms, lovely hot tub and games room, great wifi, huge dining table and a very spacious property. The positives very much outweigh the negatives, it was a wonderful break for us, thank you. The how likely am I to recommend answer applies to Sykes, not the property; I would totally recommend the property 10/10.

We couldn't fault it - had everything we needed. Best equipped kitchen we've come across - lovely to have plenty of crockery & glasses - some places only have one per person so you are constantly washing up. We walked down the zig zag steps to Harlech beach & also used both Harlech & Llandawng beach car parks. Visited the castle & slate mine. Such a brilliant holiday. Would have re-booked for next year if it was available:-)

The standards of cleanliness and comfort were very high, everything that we needed was provided. We didn't see there was a bbq in the listing so it was a nice surprise that there was one. The sauna and hot tub facility was just marvellous. We loved the little touches, fresh flowers and all the origami animals. The only constructive suggestion we would make would be to add a door to the bathroom area in the ground floor double room. We will certainly return.
