  We had a lovely stay at the house.

  I feel one point of the description of the house is completely misleading though - “freshen up in the sleek shower room before heading downstairs to the well equipped kitchen”. The shower room (which I would say is clean and functional but not exactly sleek) is downstairs, next to the kitchen. I feel this should be clear on the description, not implied that it is somewhere it clearly isn’t!! Not everyone would choose somewhere with the toilet on a different floor to the bedrooms, and maybe this is why the description has been done as it is. But it is wrong to do so. We couldn’t find a tin opener but other than that it was great. Yes I would stay again. The bed was comfy, the view from the main bedroom afforded a pleasant sea view between other properties on the site. The balcony is small but just wide enough to sit out on for the morning sunshine. Access to the “beach” is off the site, a five minute walk (once you have gained access to the code to the shortcut gate) , down a lot of steep steps. This leads to a path which goes in both directions. From there you have to walk a fair way before you can access the beach without climbing through the railings onto the rocks. We drove to Lowestoft for better beach access for my elderly dog.

  The inaccuracy in the house description mainly lies in the fact the two double beds were actually small doubles (queen size) ans therefore unsuitable for 2 adults. Onw of our guests slept on an air bed. Other beds in the house were very soft, affecting our sleep. The house did not feel properly equipped as a holiday home. Many small details such as no hairdryer, a room with no light bulb so no source of light, nowhere to store clothes as drawers contained the families books, clothes etc. No bins in the annexe bedrooms or bathrooms. Pool maintenance was inadequate, therefore it turned green and very cloudy and was unusable for 2 days. Towels were very thin and barely possible to dry oneself but thankfully we'd brought our own pool towels so used these instead. But the house has a lot of potential as a holiday home and the grounds and tennis court were fantastic.

  Just returned from the most amazing week away at this stunning home.

  Was met on arrival by owner Alex, so friendly and welcoming and a tour of the property was given. A welcome hamper included in the initial meet to set the start of out holiday nicely. Detailed information was on hand in a welcome pack but to meet Alex and for him to give us relevant information was a nice touch and was happy to answer anything we needed and nothing was too much trouble and he was happy to be contacted if required. The house is absolutely stunning and has everything you need. The swimming pool and hot tub just add to the perfect holiday retreat. Not often a toilet is a talking point but they in themselves are an experience! No matter what ages go to Tara Spa there is something for everyone. I wouldn't hesitate to recommend the amazing place to anyone, thank you Alex for allowing us to make the most amazing memories.

  This holiday home is truly amazing.

  We stayed for four nights and had the best time, it was pure luxury. The house was spotless and so comfortable, everything you could ever need is provided. The pool was fabulous, it kept the children entertained for hours. The hot tub was lovely to relax in and the pool table was a great bonus. We were greeted at the property by Alex, who was very accommodating. He showed us around and how everything worked, he was so helpful and nothing was too much trouble. There was a welcome hamper which was filled with everything you could need to start your holiday, even two lovely bottles of wine. This holiday has left us all feeling relaxed and we have had so much fun. This has made some lovely memories for our family to treasure. We can’t thank Alex and Caroline enough.   Wonderful long weekend at Tara Spa with family.

  Met all expectations and easily the best rental we’ve ever stayed in ( and we’ve been doing this 20+years). Immaculately clean and all features top notch. Alex is the perfect host. We made thorough use of the pool, gym, pool table and hot tub. The Dining room served perfectly for our medieval murder mystery evening which was hilarious. Minor details - we found the constant hum in the en-suite room over the pool disturbing but unfortunately had the two lightest sleepers in there. We like to cook and would have liked some more robust utensils. However these are minor details far outweighed by the positives and would highly recommend Tara Spa to anybody. We would definitely consider returning - something we never do - which is a testament to the fabulous time we had. Thank you
