Gorgeous house! I used to be in charge of housekeeping in a hotel, and the cleanliness met my standards, which is saying something! We had such an incredible stay. Perfect for my very low-key hen party - we especially appreciated the number of single beds. We were worried about only having two showers, but we were happy to share the ensuite during the day, which made everything easier, and people were happy to clean their teeth in the downstairs toilet. Garden was amazing, and the WiFi worked well. (Be aware, there isn't much signal near the house...it's in a valley, to be expected). As with lots of old buildings, it isn't especially soundproofed, so if someone is a light sleeper, they might need to bring earplugs if they want to go to bed before everyone else. Sofa was very comfy, with plenty of seating. We had a really lovely weekend! Thank you!

Cooker knobs fall off. Beware dining table - middle section collapsed on us, we consider it unsafe and not fit for purpose. Contact no's provided took 245hrs to reply. Bedroom doors lack catches so most don't shut. 2 bathrooms inconvenient for 14 adults, additional shower room would be improvement. Tired house needs sprucing up.

We understand that in a historic building, the kitchen could be small (it is!) and it is well equipped, our frustration was minimal cutlery and crockery provided for 14 people and cheap utensils. It needs a few more bowls, glasses, and a decent corkscrew ! We didn't let that spoil a great weekend in a lovely area.
