Jasmine Cottage is highly praised for its unbeatable central location in Keswick, offering easy access to shops, restaurants, and scenic walks. Guests appreciate its cosy atmosphere, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds, making it ideal for couples or small groups. While many found the cottage clean and welcoming, some noted areas needing refurbishment and deeper cleaning. The property is dog-friendly and provides convenient parking. A few guests mentioned minor maintenance issues and suggested improvements for added comfort. Overall, Jasmine Cottage is a charming and convenient base for exploring Keswick and the Lake District.
Most guests found the cottage clean and tidy, but several reviews mentioned areas needing a deeper clean, such as carpets, upholstery, and bathrooms. Occasional reports of musty smells and missed cleaning details were noted, though many still described the property as spotless or well-kept.
The location is consistently described as outstanding, with the cottage just steps from Keswick's main square, shops, and attractions, yet still quiet at night. Guests found the proximity to parking, Derwent Water, and local amenities to be a major highlight.
Guests generally found the cottage cosy and comfortable, especially for couples. The beds received particular praise for comfort. However, some found the space cramped for larger groups, and a few mentioned dated or uncomfortable furniture and steep stairs.
The cottage is well-equipped with modern kitchen and bathroom facilities, and the parking permit is appreciated. Some guests noted maintenance issues such as worn carpets, tired furniture, and minor repairs needed. A few suggested additional kitchen items and improved instructions for key access.
Some guests mentioned a lack of welcome items such as tea, coffee, or milk, and noted that essentials like salt, pepper, and extra towels were not always provided. While a welcome basket or gifts are not guaranteed, guests would have appreciated these thoughtful touches.

The cottage was lovely but smaller than anticipated. We took a dog but there wasn’t really the space. The key lock was difficult to find as it is not at the actual cottage. So maybe better instructions would help. Some things I felt was missing from the cottage are: An additional baking tray for cookingA sweeping brush, there was only a small dust pan and brush The broadband was intermittent

Just come from from 2 nights at jasmine cottage unbelievable location right in the centre of keswick,The cottage is quaint and has everything you need for a comfy stay. The only thing i would say is the bedroom furniture (bunk beds) could do with an upgrade they were very tired looking and the shower curtain could do with being replaced as was very stained, we did try to hoover but the hoover bag was too full and smelt like wet dog, and were no replacements. These are just picky things, overall loved our stay and would definitely stay again.

It was a lovely stay, right in the heart of the centre of town, with a parking permit.Great base especially if being out all day. Water pressure great making a lovely shower.Points to think about for future the duvet was too hot and heavy could of done with a summer lighter one.A welcome basket of tea bags and some milk would be helpful as we arrived late when the shops were shut. Also a second front door key would if been helpful for when one person came back before the other one.Great as a base but have booked another cottage next year with more room.
