Skiddaw House in Keswick offers a spacious stay with new carpets, good bedroom space, and plenty of hot water. Its proximity to the town and lake makes it an ideal location for families and groups. While some furnishings are dated, the property's potential shines through, especially for those seeking a magical holiday experience.
The property generally maintains good cleanliness, with some guests finding it clean and comfortable. However, there were instances of grease in the kitchen and overlooked areas, suggesting room for improvement in thoroughness.
The location is highly praised for its easy walk into town and proximity to the lake, making it an excellent choice for visitors looking to explore Keswick.
Guests found the house to be spacious with comfortable mattresses and plenty of storage. Some concerns were raised about erratic heating and a draughty front room, indicating that comfort levels could be more consistent.
The property is well-equipped with a kitchen that has addressed previous feedback. However, issues with WiFi, ineffective heating controls, and a need for a kitchen layout review have affected the overall experience.
There is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess this category based on the available reviews.

Lovely stay in Skiddaw House. Cleanlines Location was great. Just a 5 min walk into town. Quiet Could do with some spare loo roll and a spare dishwasher tablet or 2.

Really great holiday. Two families staying to catch up, and had been concerned after reading other reviews. Needn’t have been. The house was super. Easy walk into town, or down to the lake. Had everything we needed for a lovely weekend break.Decor a bit tired perhaps but given the price this was expected and with children isn’t something that was important to us.
