Nearby you’ll find Helvellyn, Skiddaw and Blencathra to name a few. You can easily walk into the centre of Keswick and leave the car behind, from the front door you are just 5 minutes’ walk into the main market square. Keswick is a vibrant town with a great outdoor market and plenty of places to eat and drink. Its bustling centre has an abundance of quality restaurants, pubs serving local cask ales, independent shops and the obligatory outdoor and fashion brands. There are a host of delis, bakeries, coffee shops and local craft stalls. Famous for its narrow streets and courtyards this traditional market town is one not to be missed.

Lovely stay in Skiddaw House. Cleanlines Location was great. Just a 5 min walk into town. Quiet Could do with some spare loo roll and a spare dishwasher tablet or 2.

Really great holiday. Two families staying to catch up, and had been concerned after reading other reviews. Needn’t have been. The house was super. Easy walk into town, or down to the lake. Had everything we needed for a lovely weekend break.Decor a bit tired perhaps but given the price this was expected and with children isn’t something that was important to us.
