The coastal town of Millom rests on the southern edges of the Lake District National Park in Cumbria. Millom is home to a museum, where you can uncover the history of a drift mine and iron and steel works; there is a statue called 'The Scutcher' to commemorate the iron industry in the town centre. Tour the ruins of Milom Castle or spend the day at the Blue Flag beach in Haverigg. Other attractions include the South Lakes Safari Zoo and Black Combe for fantastic walks.
