The location is highly regarded for its tranquillity, proximity to the Lake District, and the local village. Some guests find it remote, but the majority value the peaceful setting.

Comfort is frequently highlighted, with guests finding the beds super comfy and the cottage cosy, especially with the log fire. The presence of squeaky floorboards is noted but does not detract significantly from the overall comfort.

The cottage is well-equipped with kitchen facilities, wifi, and ample firewood. However, a comment about the shower not being very adjustable suggests a minor issue with facilities and maintenance.

While guests express gratitude for the amenities and the daily log delivery, there are no specific mentions of gifts. Therefore, it is not possible to assess thoughtfulness based on the provided reviews.
