What an amazing location. Remote, yet near enough amenities. The area itself is stunning and meeting a ewe and her lambs in the back garden was the icing on the cake. We had everything we needed in terms of kitchen and bedding and the log bin was replenished every day so we could have a real fire. It was lovely to have our hostess pop in to say hello on arrival - a lovely personal touch. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and were able to access all parts of the Lake District we wanted to visit, from Allonby to Keswick to Skiddaw to Ambleside. We would 100% recommend Swaledale Cottage.Thank you for a wonderful, peaceful and relaxing stay.

A lovely cottage with great views of the surrounding countryside - very warm and cosy, especially with the fire burning. Plenty of space for two to four people, and beds were very comfortable. Would recommend and would stay again in future!

Lovely little cottage. In our 4 days we walked all three fells we could see from our window, Longlands, Brae and High Pike. We were kept warm at night by the wood fairy who magically filled our wood bin every morning. Many thanks.
