Guests consistently praise the property for its immaculate condition, quality furnishings, and well-equipped kitchen. The location is appreciated for its tranquility and proximity to local attractions, with many guests enjoying the nearby river and scenic views. The spacious and comfortable living areas, including a large TV and Netflix, are highlights for relaxation. While there are minor mentions of maintenance issues and a desire for basic cooking ingredients, the overall sentiment is highly positive, with many guests expressing a desire to return.
The property generally receives high marks for cleanliness, with guests finding it very clean and tidy. However, there are isolated comments about areas that could have been cleaner, such as under the dining room table, and a full hoover left by previous guests. These seem to be exceptions rather than the rule.
The location is highly praised for its great situation, with easy access to local attractions like the Haverthwaite Steam Railway, South Lakes Safari Zoo, and the Lake District. The peaceful setting by the river and the proximity to walking routes and scenic drives contribute to the high score.
Comfort is a standout feature, with guests finding the property warm, comfortable, and homely. The spacious living areas, comfortable beds, and extra touches like lamps and a large TV in the attic lounge are frequently mentioned as contributing to a relaxing stay.
Facilities are generally well-regarded, with a well-stocked kitchen and quality appliances. However, there are some concerns about maintenance, such as loose toilet seats and shower drains not coping well with water flow. These issues slightly lower the score.
While guests mention a welcome packet with biscuits, there is not enough consistent information about gifts or additional thoughtful touches to accurately score this category. It should be noted that while some guests appreciated the biscuits, others found them expired, and the provision of such items may not be guaranteed.

Huge comfy beds, two different areas to relax in and watch television, we used the downstairs area in the morning, and the top floor in the evening, sometimes both if we wanted to watch different things. The location is very pretty and makes a great base for touring the southern lakes. Came home feeling happy and relaxed.
