The setting is idyllic as not only does Breasty Haw enjoy fine views across the valley but the house is situated in the middle of its own acre of mature woodland for guests to explore. With Grizedale Forest and ample walks and cycling routes right from the doorstep, Satterthwaite is an ideal base for an activity based holiday with the kids although the area also has some wonderful, gentle walks for those who prefer a quieter pace and some rest and relaxation. The property backs onto Grizedale forest with walks from the gate and is wonderfully quiet.
Having undergone a major transformation in readiness for holiday letting, Breasty Haw now presents as a beautifully furnished, quality, self catering property with modern day conveniences, comfortably spacious for up to eight people. It features a wood burning stove for those cosy nights in front of a real fire, and granite work tops in the kitchen.

Beautiful house and garden in a stunning location. The driveway is a little awkward for more than 1 car so it would have been nice to have been warned about that. There were no directions to the property if arriving from the south and not surprising as it is a maze of minor roads with few signposts, even the sat nav struggled. Again a warning would have helped. We only went to the local pub once as they had no draught beers on and the food was luke warm. Otherwise we all had a wonderful holiday.

I did not expect the property to be up a very steep hill. Anyone with mobility issues would have a problem getting to it without a vehicle. One pub in village not open Monday and Tuesday. No shop in village. Driving anywhere in the area a nightmare due to narrow roads. Perhaps walkers would be o.k. with it.

Fabulous and quiet location. Perfect as a centre for trekking or more sedate activities. Local pub is friendly and good quality.
