Its location is appreciated for tranquility and proximity to local attractions. The well-equipped kitchen and thoughtful touches, such as provided Netflix and games, add to the positive experience. Some minor cleanliness issues and technical difficulties with TV reception were noted.

Cleanliness

Guests generally found the cottage to be clean, with some noting it as 'very clean'. However, there were several mentions of dust, dog hair, and unclean appliances, suggesting that while the overall standard is good, there is room for improvement in thoroughness and consistency.

Location

The location is highly praised for its quietness, scenic views, and convenience for exploring the area, including nearby beaches and towns. It is described as peaceful and ideal for a relaxing holiday.

Comfort

The cottage is consistently described as comfortable, with special mentions of the comfortable beds and spacious rooms. The large garden and views contribute to the relaxing atmosphere. A few guests mentioned hard mattresses and pillows, but these seem to be isolated preferences.

Facilities

Facilities are generally regarded as excellent, with a well-stocked kitchen, ample parking, and a variety of entertainment options. However, some guests experienced issues with TV reception and Wi-Fi, and there were comments about the lack of basic supplies and the need for better maintenance of some equipment.

The property is appreciated for thoughtful touches like wine on arrival and dog bowls for pets. However, it's noted that some basic amenities were lacking, such as toilet roll and cooking essentials. While gifts are mentioned, it's important to note that such gestures are at the discretion of the owners and not guaranteed.

About this property

Located on an idyllic farm steading in Acklington, a few miles from Warkworth, Northumberland, The Mustard Pot is a charming barn conversion which is the ideal holiday destination for a family or small gathering of family and friends. The welcoming living space sets the tone for the rest of the property with ample seating arranged in front of a delightful woodburning stove and French doors leading outside, helping to bring the outside in and letting lots of light flood in. You can imagine spending many happy hours here chilling out and catching up on each other’s holiday news. When it’s time to start cooking for your holiday party, you will be impressed by the spacious kitchen which is fully fitted with everything the designated chef needs. When it’s time for bed, guests can choose from three well-appointed bedrooms, two super-king-sizes and a single. All are bright and airy and come with TVs, so you needn’t miss out on your favourite telly and is the perfect chance to chill out away from the hustle and bustle of the main house. Other beaches nearby worth packing a bucket and spade for include Alnmouth, Cresswell, Embleton and Newton Haven.
