This delightful retreat is perfect for families or groups of friends seeking a serene escape amidst stunning natural beauty, with off-road parking for two cars and accommodation for two well-behaved dogs. Inside your new single-storey abode, you will be greeted by the sitting room, boasting a Smart TV and an electric fire, perfect for those snug nights in. Here, you can curl up on the plush sofa and lose yourself in a good book or a favourite film. The heart of the home is the kitchen, fully-equipped with all the essentials you need to whip up delicious home-cooked meals. Adjacent to the kitchen, you will find the dining room, complete with seating for four, where you can gather to enjoy your culinary creations and plan the day's adventures. When sleeps starts to call, make your way to the well-appointed bedrooms that include a spacious king-size bedroom and a twin room, both offering a tranquil space to rest after a day of exploration. The West Cumbrian town of Whitehaven is situated on the coast between the sparkling sea and the Lakeland Fells. It was one of the first ‘planned’ towns in England and today can boast almost 250 Listed Georgian buildings and some beautiful parks and gardens. Today the town’s harbour is a designated conservation area and visitors can learn about the town’s history at the excellent Beacon Heritage Centre. The surrounding coastline has much to offer, not least its old smugglers villages, such as Ravenglass, and the red sandstone cliffs of pretty St Bees - now the start of Wainwright’s famous “Coast to Coast” Walk. Meanwhile inland you can enjoy the tranquillity of the Western lakes: Ennerdale, Loweswater, Crummock, Buttermere and Wastwater. Ennerdale is perhaps the most peaceful of all the lakes, with no public roads running along its National Trust owned shoreline.

It was so comfortable and nicely decorated, tastefully furnished and well equipped. However, the viewâ¦â¦ it was just stunning. The coast path runs past the front garden, with easy access for walks. Beforehand I was concerned about the shared parking, but we had no issues during our stay. The access road is narrow, but I have a large vehicle and had no problems. It is a residential area, but all the neighbours we met were really friendly. I would go back without hesitation.

Lovely arrival treats, with even a little toy for our baby. We had a very comfortable stay, the cottage is very clean and well kept. The views are outstanding and being so close to the sea was a real treat. Just a little note for potential guests with dogs, the grassy area of the garden isn't secure, only the courtyard area is. We have dogs ourselves and wouldn't be able to return with them. They aren't used to concrete and would run riot in the neighbours gardens! However, for future holidays without our pups we would definitely return. Thank you for a wonderful stay!
