The Corn Mill is a charming and characterful cottage in a tranquil riverside setting, praised for its warm, cosy atmosphere and welcoming hosts. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, spacious accommodation, and easy access to beautiful countryside, walks, and local attractions. The property is spotlessly clean and ideal for a relaxing break, with many guests returning year after year. While a few minor maintenance issues were noted, such as an old sofa and occasional toilet flush problems, the overall experience is overwhelmingly positive, with thoughtful touches and excellent local knowledge from the owners.
Multiple guests describe the cottage as spotlessly clean and well maintained, with no negative comments regarding cleanliness.
The peaceful riverside location is highly praised, with easy access to the countryside, coast, and local attractions. Some mention the quietness and lack of nearby shops, but overall the setting is considered a major asset.
Guests consistently mention the cottage as warm, cosy, and comfortable. However, a few reviews note that the lounge sofa is old and uncomfortable, and there are occasional issues with the toilet flush.
The property is described as well equipped, with a full kitchen, washing machine, dishwasher, and a useful boot room. Minor maintenance issues (sofa and toilet flush) are mentioned but do not detract significantly from the overall experience.
Guests highlight the owners' friendliness, local knowledge, and welcoming gestures such as a tea tray, biscuits, and milk on arrival. Please note that such gifts are not guaranteed for every stay.
