This first floor apartment is perfect for couples or a family wanting to explore beautiful Northumberland and its stunning coastline.
Spindlestone Mill is nestled in a tranquil setting, situated just over a mile inland from the stunning coastline this beautiful region is renowned for. This original mill and grain store has been cleverly converted into lovely holiday apartments (refs UK3161, UK3162, UK3163 & UK3164), which can be booked individually or together to accommodate a gathering of families and friends. Each apartment has a private patio, creating an idyllic spot to relax and listen to the rush of the water.
Waren Mill is close by and steeped in history. Once an important port, its harbour has long since disappeared, silted up beneath the sands of the estuary. Budle Bay is a bird sanctuary, and at low tide, a vast expanse of mud flats is home to countless sea and land birds making this location a haven for birdwatchers. The picture postcard village of Bamburgh, protected by its dramatic castle, is less than 3 miles away with its wide expanse of golden, often empty, sandy beaches. The tidal island of Lindisfarne, locally known as Holy Island, can also be viewed from this lovely village. A warm welcome greets guests to Belford, which offers many facilities including a golf driving range, just 3 miles away. Take a boat trip to the Farne Islands, famous for its bird sanctuaries and seal colony, from the harbour in the traditional fishing village of Seahouses, or enjoy the local pastimes of horse riding and golf on the links, just 5 miles down the seashore. The market town of Alnwick with its castle, offers many facilities, as well as Alnwick Garden, which is a popular visitor attraction for all ages.
In a peaceful, rural setting these apartments properties give guests an easy opportunity to also indulge in the simple pleasure of strolling through the sand of the Northumberland Heritage Coast, an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. Beach 1½ miles. Shops, pubs and restaurants 3 miles.

"Ended up here after issues with original booking. Lovely apartment in a remote location in a converted mill. Everything you need is in the apartment. It’s s 15 minute walk to the sea and 5 minute drive to bamburgh. No local shops or pubs in walking distance but if you want peace then this is the place. Only negative was the noise from apartment above but I guess this is always an issue with spartments in a block. Beautiful apartment all the same."

"Superb apartment everything you need was in the apartment. Clean and tidy will certainly recommend and hope to return. The only downside was no shops near, but the peace and tranquillity made up for it. Thank you for a very enjoyable stay."

"The Gearings is a beautiful apartment. It is spacious and has everything you need for a holiday stay. The big drawback for us was that it is rather in the middle of nowhere with no pub or shop within easy walking distance."

"Lovely light and airy apartment. Could do with more large plates otherwise plenty of crockery. Missing an instruction book for the cooker! Shower traps needed cleaning out as stop flow of water when being used. Could move the toilet roll holders as difficult to access when using toilet!"

"This is an extremely spacious, comfortable ‘home from home’. The under floor heating makes it extremely cosy, great for cold, February days! As well as the large table in the sitting area there is also a handy table and breakfast bar in the kitchen. Kitchen is well equipped and sitting area is huge and great to relax in. The only thing we missed was a nest of tables in the sitting area, on which to set drinks. Location was great for exploring the local area. All in all, a wonderful, restful family holiday. Would definitely recommend this property and would love to go back."
