From the moment we arrived it was warm, comfortable and spacious with everything you could need. We had a welcome message from the caretaker before our arrival and found a welcome pack at the cottage which was very nice. We stayed in the upstairs room and found the bed comfortable (there had been a few negative comments about it), although the downstairs double has been decorated to a high standard including a twinkly star ceiling, we preferred the super king bed upstairs. Such a shame the place is up for sale as we definitely would have returned. We have stayed in many holiday rentals but this was up there with the best! Lowick village was nice too with two pubs which both serve food, as well as a well stocked village store - the tray bakes were gorgeous. The locals were all very friendly. All in all, a fantastic stay and we would definitely recommend.

The cottage was very clean, the comfort of the cottage was generally good except for the towels rail in one of the bathrooms which did not work so was very chilly. Although most of the cottage was well maintained the hot tub was not and the owner could not be contacted by us or Sykes, despite this being a deciding factor when we booked.

3 adults and 3 dogs on a week's stay end of Jan '24. Perfect location for numerous dog friendly beaches in the area. Hot tub a lovely addition. Enclosed garden, on 2 levels, with high fence. Cottage is a tardis! Location of the 3 bedrooms adds that bit of privacy for guests, especially as all are en-suite. Wasn't too keen on the child safety gate at bottom of stairs, this was a bit awkward when stepping on/off bottom step. Mattress in the loft bedroom, not the most comfy, but certainly big. Each room on different levels, just one or 2 steps so would not recommend for anyone who prefers a level footing throughout, but for us lovely and quirky. Pubs in village a bit quiet, but probably as our holiday off season. Village shop lovely. Highly recommend and we are aiming to visit again in the future.
