Guests consistently praise the Holmfield cottage in Buxton for its cleanliness, comfort, and excellent location as a base for exploring the Peak District. The property is well-maintained, with a cosy atmosphere that is particularly appreciated during festive seasons. While some minor suggestions for improvements are noted, the overall experience is highly recommended by visitors.
Reviewers frequently mention the cleanliness of the property, describing it as 'very clean' and 'well maintained', which indicates a high standard of cleanliness throughout.
The cottage's location is praised for its proximity to Buxton, local amenities, and the Peak District, making it an ideal base for walks and exploring the area.
Guests find the home comfortable, noting the cosy atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, a suggestion for a blackout blind in one bedroom and additional seating indicates room for minor improvements.
The property is equipped with necessary facilities and a well-equipped kitchen, though some guests suggest bringing additional cooking utensils. The lack of a freezer and dishwasher is noted, and the single toilet may be a consideration for larger groups.
While guests appreciate the festive decorations during the Christmas season, there is no consistent mention of gifts or special amenities that would indicate a standard of thoughtfulness across all stays. Therefore, it is politely noted that such gestures, while appreciated, are not guaranteed.
