Pillango is set a short stroll from the bustling town of Cowes. The famous harbour and bustling streets of Cowes are just a short stroll down the hill where you will find a wide range of independent shops and pubs, along with some great restaurants to suit all tastes and budgets. Cowes Yacht Haven is a 3-minute walk away, and the nearest beach is a short stroll away from your doorstep. Behind the houses on the avenue is a large 200-year-old park and manor house. Within the grounds are free to use. newly surfaced, tennis and basketball courts. The Isle of Wight is renowned for its wide selection of outdoor activities and includes over 500 miles of scenic footpaths. If you are looking for activities in the area, you can choose from paddle boarding, kayaking, paragliding, sailing, RIB rides and horse riding.
It really is a great holiday destination, with events such as The Garlic Festival or The Isle of Wight Festival. There is a regatta in Cowes most weekends during the summer, the most famous being ‘Cowes Week’ at the beginning of August. Whatever your reason to visit, this house is a welcoming comfortable base for a long weekend away or for a longer stay from which to explore this charming Island.

We arrived to find the wheelie bin overflowing at the end of the driveway.The welcome pack consisted of a few sachets of Tea, coffee, sugar and some sea shells, nothing useful like milk, biscuits or nice like wine and fruit.Crockery and cutleries had been put away dirty, the cupboards and draws in the kitchen were filthy. As was the oven.We had to load the dishwasher and go and buy cleaning products to clean the kitchen.The Kitchen, Bathroom and patio windows don't have blinds so there's no sense of privacy, especially as there appears to be someone living in a caravan at the end of the garden. The patio doors wouldn't open, so we were unable to get any airflow through the property, and a number of the windows either didn't open or didn't close, the handles felt like they were about to come off in your hand.A lack of storage in the bedrooms, not helped by the enormous 4 seater sofa in the master bedroom and the most uncomfortable bed.

Great place to stay and explore the isle of wight. A short walk from Cowes town centre and the quay side it is ideal for any holiday. We loved going for a drink in town after an evening at one of the island's beaches or an evening stroll along the promenade to Egypt point to catch the sunset.The house is a great size with 2 twin rooms and a double and the downstairs is lovely and open and light. The beds were comfortable and everything was clean.The kitchen is well stocked with utensils and the free pint of milk on arrival was a nice touch.The drive is a bit tight to get onto with a family sized car and the oven is tricky to get working as you need to set the clock first and that is surprisingly complicated. There is also only one bathroom (there is also a downstairs WC) which made mornings a bit slow. We also found the sound bar difficult to use but the TV was fine without it and we didn't watch that much anyway.

Great location with just a 10 minute walk to the beach, the centre of Cowes and an excellent M&S Foodhall. We didn’t cook so I can’t comment on that, but the large comfortable sofas were perfect to relax on after a busy day exploring. We all also woke up refreshed after a good nights sleep, so no complaints there. Would definitely recommend
