Tankerton beach is just 500m away and being slightly quieter than neighbouring Whitstable makes it ideal for families. Tankerton also offers a lovely selection of shops, cafes, restaurants and even a microbrewery to explore. Neighbouring Whitstable is only 1 mile away and is perfect for keen foodies with its wide array of places to eat and drink. Why not enjoy a visit to Whitstable Castle or follow the Crab and Winkle Way from Whitstable to Canterbury, or take a bike ride along the seafront to Herne Bay (5 miles). Visitors can also enjoy a variety of water sports including windsurfing, kite surfing and sailing, and for those seeking a spot of heritage, Canterbury is just 7 miles away and is the home of the country’s oldest cathedral and the perfect place to enjoy some history and culture.
