With superb sea views, just a few steps from the sandy beach of Gorran Haven, this popular and brightly decorated, spacious, 19th-century cottage, one of four converted from a pair of Victorian dwellings, is ideal for a traditional seaside holiday (beach furniture is provided). For those more energetic, it is also adjacent to the South Cornwall Coastal Path, leading to awe-inspiring, rewarding cliff- and beach-based walks and access to the National Trust headland. Picturesque Mevagissey, Charlestown Harbour, Lost Gardens of Heligan, Eden Project, National Maritime Museum, Caerhay’s Castle, Pentewan Cycle Trail, farm shops and local pubs are within easy reach, as are golf, tennis, surfing, kayaking, sailing, sea fishing and numerous other beaches. The village has a post office, which is also the general store/bakery/off licence. It serves freshly cooked meals all day and has a licensed bar for your convenience. There is a beach shop, a fish-and-chip shop, and cafés. (Some of these are seasonal. The public car park is 300 yards from the cottage. The cottage has a comfortable living room with sea and coastal views, a separate, well-equipped kitchen with a dining area, and two spacious bedrooms: a double with a king-size bed and a twin-bedded room. There is an elevated seating area with stunning views of the village, sea, beach, harbour, and cliffs that stretch for miles into the distance. The porch and seat outside the front door also have fabulous views of the sea and cliffs. There is a shared rear courtyard which leads to a large outhouse where beach equipment, wetsuits, surfboards, canoes and cycles can be stored, as well as washing facilities for wetsuits and beach equipment. Two Smart televisions are supported by Superfast broadband/Wi-Fi for guests’ entertainment. The cottage has a small sharing library and several traditional board games to play with the family after a day out. All love Gorran Haven, and it is an excellent place for a holiday. Had a fantastic week at Seaview with my family. We’ve stayed in many cottages in Gorran over the years and this is our new favourite!Spacious, clean and well equipped, a great porch for all the sandy beach stuff and the bonus of fantastic views from many of the windows, especially the upstairs seating area which was a favourite for some beautiful colourful sunrises over the sea.Will definitely stay again - thank you!

Second visit to this beautiful property in Gorran Haven.Kitchen large and really well equipped. Small outbuilding that houses a washing machine and tumble dryer.Useful instructions available to be able to use equipment easily.Comfortable bedrooms / both large - as a couple we only used the double room.There are two chairs in the landing window to sit on and absorb the far reaching views or hive of activity happening on the beautiful beach.The beach is only a few yards from the property.Additionally the fabulous fish and chip shop is an essential for us on every visit to Gorran Haven!Unfortunately the Post Office burned down - it is being rebuilt but was greatly missed by us on our visit as it additionally served bread / crab rolls and a host of other necessities - newspapers, everything basically.Additionally it had a little pop up pub at the side of its premises which was frequented by many until it closed at 8 in the evenings and this is also much missed.There are two pubs a short drive from Gorran Haven - we love the warm and welcoming staff and of course the food at the Crown in St Ewe. When we were there the weather as always was fabulous.One tweet of a grumble hence the four stars was the loo seat that had been replaced. It possibly needs replacing again as it does not fit the toilet and slid everywhere when used! All in all another wonderful holiday.Thank you to the owner and lady that services the cottage for their hospitality.
