We were a family (8 adults, ages 20’s to 50’s & 2 dogs) who stayed for a 4 night break for New Year.Lovely spacious accommodation, we all loved the downstairs open plan design, nice & warm & the wood burner kept it toasty! House was very clean and a well equipped kitchen (even cooked a roast dinner for New Years Day with no problems).Upstairs bedrooms were a good size & comfortable.Only slight minus points were a ‘sticky’ dinning table (maybe suggest a plastic table covering), the eco toilet flushing system (definitely took a few flushes!!) and although a few brave ones tried the hot tub, it wasn’t really warm enough so we used the excellent spa facilities instead.Parking - you can park 2 cars by the house & there’s parking close by if you need more.Outside the patio doors is the hot tub on decking, plus a small grass area however this is not contained or fenced in (for dogs/children) and quite close to the other houses, however was not a problem for our dogs and we didn’t hear any noise from the other houses/guests.The staff checked we were ok and we all enjoyed our stay & would definitely recommend to others.We found using the train from Carbis Bay to St Ives handy & a bit novel - only 1 stop! (all day car parking £6) as St Ives was busy over the New Year period.We went into St Ives New Years Eve (used Just Park) and we loved the party atmosphere (recommend fancy dress!) We also explored the beaches of Hayle & Carbis Bay.Lovely family break away.
