Close to Exmoor National Park

Shared use of 30-acres of unspoilt garden. Set in the Exe Valley and very accessible from major roads, are these three beautiful properties which all offer the perfect holiday retreat. Catering and a chef is available to be booked directly with the owner. All or part of the complex can be booked for large groups, parties, or family gatherings. It would make an ideal venue for a wedding, with facilities allowing up to 100 guests to attend, by arrangement.

They each have their individual character including beams and most with wood burners. Duval Priory (ref 9985) dates back to 1086 is also Grade ll listed and enjoys its own private hot tub. Guests can also enjoy the River Exe, Devonshire Heartland, Somerset and the North Devon coastline on your doorstep, the properties are situated in an excellent countryside location offering a good base to explore the beautiful area and are within easy driving distance of Exmoor National Park and the Devon and Somerset border.

Golf, horse riding, cycling, and fishing are available locally, and clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing. Take a stroll next to the river in the fields. Alternatively, there are many delightful, scenic countryside walks to be found nearby including the spectacular scenic coast between Minehead and Combe Martin. Tiverton, 7 miles, offers a selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs as well as the famous Grand Western Canal and Bickleigh Castle.

The nearest coast with sandy beaches and family attractions including Somerset World and West Somerset scenic steam railway is at the seaside resort of Minehead. The medieval town of Dunster with its magnificent castle, deer park and mill, and the historic cathedral city of Exeter with its variety of shops, restaurants, theatres, racecourse and the Maritime Museum are both 20 miles away.

Delightful Bickleigh, 8 miles, has lovely, thatched inns overlooking the river serving good food and local ales, the perfect location to get away from it all. Taunton, Ilfracombe, Sidmouth, Seaton, and Exmouth within easy driving distance. National Trust properties within easy reach include Knightshayes Court, Powderham Castle and Castle Drogo to name a few. Bampton is 2 miles away, and sailing is available at nearby Wimbleball Lake. Shop 1½ miles, pubs 2 miles.

There is a £500 refundable security deposit payable by bank transfer 1 week prior to your holiday, this is to ensure that on your departure the property is left as it was on your arrival Access to the property will not be permitted to any members of the party until the amount has been paid in full. This will be returned once the property has been checked.

    We had a lovely break. The house was warm, spacious and welll equipt. Wood burner and hot tub were great. Rosena had also done an incredible job decorating for Halloween which was really appreciated. Highly recommended.

    Second time at Duvale, both Stag's. Great venue for a chilled weekend. Facilities great for a party of 24. Hot tub was extensively used, local pub a reasonable walk away, good sized grounds for volleyball / kick about. 15 minutes from Tiverton - and nightclub (we got the party going !!) Paintballing 40 minute drive. The lounge was great - log burner took the chill off unseasonably cool evening. Beds comfy. Kitchen well equip for 'mass catering'. Rosena was very helpful - shopping arrived early and she kindly took delivery for us - really appreciated. All in all a great venue. Enjoy!

    An ideal place for our 25 member family to spend a long weekend. We loved it!Loads of indoor and outdoor space. Well maintained use of hot tub and a good quality pool table. Comfortably furnished in every room and outside. Great eating spaces in kitchen and dining room plus a few quiet spaces too.
