Shared use of 30-acres of unspoilt garden. Set in the Exe Valley and very accessible from major roads, are these three beautiful properties which all offer the perfect holiday retreat. Catering and a chef is available to be booked directly with the owner. All or part of the complex can be booked for large groups, parties, or family gatherings. It would make an ideal venue for a wedding, with facilities allowing up to 100 guests to attend, by arrangement.
They each have their individual character including beams and most with wood burners. Duval Priory (ref 9985) dates back to 1086 is also Grade ll listed and enjoys its own private hot tub. Guests can also enjoy the River Exe, Devonshire Heartland, Somerset and the North Devon coastline on your doorstep, the properties are situated in an excellent countryside location offering a good base to explore the beautiful area and are within easy driving distance of Exmoor National Park and the Devon and Somerset border.
Golf, horse riding, cycling, and fishing are available locally, and clay pigeon shooting, fly fishing. Take a stroll next to the river in the fields. Alternatively, there are many delightful, scenic countryside walks to be found nearby including the spectacular scenic coast between Minehead and Combe Martin. Tiverton, 7 miles, offers a selection of shops, restaurants, and pubs as well as the famous Grand Western Canal and Bickleigh Castle.
The nearest coast with sandy beaches and family attractions including Somerset World and West Somerset scenic steam railway is at the seaside resort of Minehead. The medieval town of Dunster with its magnificent castle, deer park and mill, and the historic cathedral city of Exeter with its variety of shops, restaurants, theatres, racecourse and the Maritime Museum are both 20 miles away.
Delightful Bickleigh, 8 miles, has lovely, thatched inns overlooking the river serving good food and local ales, the perfect location to get away from it all. Taunton, Ilfracombe, Sidmouth, Seaton, and Exmouth within easy driving distance. National Trust properties within easy reach include Knightshayes Court, Powderham Castle and Castle Drogo to name a few. Bampton is 2 miles away, and sailing is available at nearby Wimbleball Lake. Shop 1½ miles, pubs 2 miles.

As a large family gathering we had a lovely stay at Duvale priory . The house is spacious and welcoming with plenty of room to gather as a group or find a quiet space . The setting is stunning and very peaceful, we made full use of the very large garden and seating area , luckily the weather was glorious . We will definitely arrange another visit .

We had a wonderful stay in this great property which was just right for our large family group. Loved the garden especially during the heatwave last week! The property had everything we needed and more. There’s lots to do in the local area - Bampton is lovely, we loved visiting the Anchor Inn in Exebridge and a highlight was visiting Quoit at Cross vineyard nearby for a private wine tasting.Already booked again for next year!

The house was very spacious and the garden was fantastic, so much space for the kids to have a run about. Rosena the owner has put some really nice touches to the grounds such as the hot tub, seating areas, climbing frame etc. She was also very helpful with local tips etc.
