Southwold House is consistently praised for its comfort, sociable spaces, and prime location close to the beach and town. Guests have celebrated special occasions here and enjoyed the well-equipped, spacious, and stylish accommodation. The property is described as a 'home from home' and a 'gem', with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests have described the house as 'spotlessly clean', indicating a very high standard of cleanliness. There was only one minor comment about the oven needing a clean, which suggests overall excellence in this category.
The location is universally acclaimed, with guests appreciating the short walk to the beach, pier, shops, and restaurants. The property's proximity to local attractions and the seafront makes it an ideal spot for visitors.
Numerous reviews highlight the comfort of the house, mentioning 'comfortable beds and sofas' and a 'cosy' atmosphere. The property accommodates large groups with ease, contributing to its high comfort rating.
The house is praised for being well-equipped and furnished, with ample space and luxury amenities. However, a few minor maintenance issues such as a leaky sink plug and the need for a mirror in the ensuite bathroom slightly lower the score.
Unfortunately we’ve been unable assess this category comprehensively enough based on the reviews we’ve received from guests about this property.
A fantastic property which is ideal for a family seaside holiday or friends gathering to celebrate a special occasion. Sea views from some of the rooms with the beach just round the corner. A real seaside holiday feel in a quality property.
Southwold House is fabulous, A stunning brick built period property with the beach on the doorstep. Accommodation is over three floors, bright and spacious with sea views from the beautiful bay windows and pretty white painted balconies. From the exterior, Southwold House has kerb appeal, well proportioned with a pretty courtyard style front garden. Step inside - welcome to the 21st century, the property is stylish and contemporary with every modern convenience just waiting for you.
A property for all seasons, warm and cosy in the winter months with easy to operate digital central heating and ‘gas effect’ wood burning stove - as the temperatures rise and the days get longer, throw open with balcony doors, breathe in the salty air and gaze out to sea.
This lovely holiday home can accommodate 10 guests with six fabulous bedrooms decorated in hues of grey, pink and gold. Living accommodation is spacious with soft sofas in the sitting room, separate dining room and fully fitted kitchen with range cooker and recessed spot lights.
Southwold has some great shops, cafes, delis, pubs and restaurants so you’re spoilt for choice when it comes to dining. Alternatively visit one of the independent grocers, bakers and butchers and cook up a treat. A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier, dating back to the 1900’s, it was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.
If you’re planning a family get together, somewhere a bit special, close to the sea, cafes and stylish shops - this is the place for you!!!
