Alternatively visit one of the independent grocers, bakers and butchers and cook up a treat. A visit to Southwold wouldn’t be complete without heading off to the pier, dating back to the 1900’s, it was originally built as a landing point for the steamships which use to stop off at the town. Don’t forget to visit the lighthouse - this distinctive landmark at the centre of the town has been guiding vessels into the historical harbour since the late 1800’s.
