Guests say

Skye's House in Southwold is consistently praised for its cleanliness, quietness, and tasteful decoration. Guests appreciate the well-maintained property with comfortable furnishings and a fully equipped kitchen. The enclosed garden is a hit with dog owners, and the proximity to the pier and town centre is highly valued. The property's layout across three floors is noted, and while the third bedroom is small, it is suitable for children.

Reviewers consistently mention the property's cleanliness, describing it as immaculate and well-kept, indicating a high standard of cleanliness.

The property's location is frequently highlighted as excellent, being very close to the pier and within a short walking distance to the town centre.

Comfort is well-regarded, with guests finding the bedrooms and lounge areas very comfortable. However, the third bedroom's size may limit comfort for some.

Facilities are well-maintained or new, with a fully equipped kitchen and well-kept garden. The property's suitability for dogs is also noted, although the mention of stairs suggests it may not be suitable for all.

Guests have noted the thoughtful touches such as a welcome pack and provisions for dogs. While these are appreciated, they are not guaranteed for every stay.

Alternatively, stroll around the marketplace and visit the pier and working lighthouse. After a long day of exploring, visitors have plenty of cafes, restaurants, and village pubs to choose from, including the famous Adnam's Brewery (within 0.5 miles). Walberswick, a picturesque Georgian village with a sand and shingle beach, can be reached by crossing the river bridge or, during the summer months, by taking a rowing boat across (2 miles). For a slower pace, there are several walks along the river or across the cliff tops, or you can visit rspb Minsmere to see the impressive lagoons and spot some of the UK's rarest wildlife (10.3 miles).

Enter this stunning coastal-themed property through the main entrance hall or via the pretty private garden. The open plan lounge/dining area has relaxed seating, with two comfortable sofas arranged around the Smart TV and Sonos speaker. The dining area has a table and chairs where you can enjoy your meals or socialise and play some of the games which are provided. Next door is the kitchen, which is well-equipped with everything you might need to prepare a delicious family meal. There is also a ground-floor WC located in the inner hall. Heading up to the first floor, there is a comfortable king-size bedroom with ample storage and the family bathroom with a shower over bath and WC. Take the final flight of stairs to find the other two bedrooms, one with a king-size bed that can be made into a twin on request with plenty of storage space. The third bedroom has bunks beds and is ideal for the kids.

The enclosed private garden is accessible through the kitchen's back door. It is a charming outdoor space with a wooden corner bench and picnic table where you can enjoy your morning coffee, fire up a BBQ or entertain the family alfresco.

We enjoyed our stay in Syke cottage. It is a lovely well maintained house, which is fully equipped. The house is in ideal location for a walk to Beach and town centre.

Lovely place, would stay again, very clean and well equipped. Perfect location, a couple of minutes to the pier and beach and about 10 to the high street. The 3rd bedroom is very tight, definitely only for younger children, wasn’t an issue for us as it was just 3 adults. Lovely stay

Lovely place to stay, immaculate condition with great garden for our dogs. Peaceful setting, very close to pier and short walk into town.
