About this property
This beautiful detached cottage is situated next door to the owner’s home and adjacent to a small plant nursery, in the small hamlet of Calwich, surrounded by wonderful countryside with walks to enjoy, close to the lovely market town of Ashbourne. Enter the cottage into a spacious hallway, where to the left is a beautifully equipped kitchen, complete with dining area, and then through to the sitting room with a warming woodburning stove and 40" Smart TV to enjoy after a day of exploring the area. French doors lead to a pretty sun room and access to the private garden. The other side of the hallway leads to the ground floor single bedroom with TV and luxurious bathroom with freestanding bath, perfect for that pampering bubble bath.
Upstairs are two further bedrooms and a shower room. Adding to the luxury of this gorgeous cottage, the owners include bathrobes and slippers, and Smart TV in the double bedrooms. Completing the picture is the lovely hot tub in the garden. Part of the garden is walled with lawn and patio housing that hot tub, making it perfect to enjoy all day. There is a huge array of things to enjoy from this cottage, including some wonderful walks, cycle routes and attractions of the area, including nearby Ashbourne, with its fine antiques stores, cobbled streets and variety of pubs and restaurants.
Alton Towers is a short drive away, along with Chatsworth House and Haddon Hall. This wonderful cottage is the perfect retreat at all times throughout the year.
The small hamlet of Calwich lies peacefully at the southern end of the Peak District National Park, amidst stunning scenery and offers great walking and cycling opportunities. The nearby market town of Ashbourne with its eccentric street plan, narrow cobbled alleys and quaint coaching inns is something of a haven for antique hunters, offering many great stores, as well as a variety of good pubs and restaurants.

From the moment we arrived, to be met and showed how everything worked was great as sometimes these things are a mine field. Really friendly couple who couldnât do enough for us. The cottage is amazingly equipped with absolutely everything you could need/want. They have thought of everything. Also the lovely idea of a welcome basket and some goodies in the fridge just made Themis experience all the more wonderful. Will certainly come back and will be recommending.

The cottage ticked everything for us. A lovely well maintained hot tub. A bath to die for. A beautiful roaring wood burning stove which was lit for us on our arrival. The Christmas tree was out of this world and made our holiday as we had come away to prepare for Christmas and really got us in the mood. The hosts were extremely helpful and couldnât do enough for us. We will definitely be back. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts
