Approached along a private track and nestled within 10 acres of farmland, this wonderfully located, detached cottage sits in a peaceful location with impressive countryside views. Perfectly positioned for touring, it is easily reached from the M50, yet quietly located 3 miles from picturesque Newent and the Royal Forest of Dean.
Marshalls Farm is just 14 miles from Malvern with its hills and theatre, 10 miles from the ancient cathedral and historic docks of Gloucester, and approximately half an hour’s drive from Cheltenham’s festivals and excellent shopping. A Vineyard is also close by The cottage is within easy reach of the picturesque Wye Valley, including Tintern Abbey and Symonds Yat. There is good walking in the area, May hill with its wild horses ,beautiful views of the severn and wales is 10 minute drive or 30 min walk ,canoeing on the Wye, mountain biking in the forest and horse racing at Cheltenham and Hereford. Horse riding available nearby. Shop 3 miles, pub and restaurant 1½ miles.

The surrounding fields are out of bounds as they are used by the neighbouring farmer to graze his cattle. However, there is a bridal path at the end of the cottage drive which leads onto beautiful woodland walks.

Lovely cottage with spectacular views, lots of wildlife to see and places to visit.It would of been nice if the host could have left a bottle of milk on arrival.

We had an absolutely lovely stay July/august. The photos so not do this farmhouse justice. The rooms were all clean and very characterful. We didn’t want for anything. The location is extremely peaceful with only cows for company. We would definitely stay here again. The weather was absolutely gorgeous for us and there is a lovely little walk from the back of the property through some woods where we stumbled across a baby deer.

We have the following notes (so should some of these not arisen then excellents would have been given):We didn't notice a first aid kit in the propertyDusty / dead flies / mouse droppings on carpet in twin room (totally appreciate this is an old house (we are from rural somerset and devon ourselves) but they have been there for a while) so made it feel like it hadnt been cleaned recently. We also noticed marks (pen?) on some of the bedding, a rip in the outdoor furniture cover - just made the place feel shabby.Towels from airing cupboard had long hairs on them and smelt musty. Had to go routing for some as although some left in bathrooms not enough for 4 people and not on beds as pictured...Dead plants in pots around the property not attractive appreciate very dry weather but better not to have them at all if only thing they contain is dead? And the solar lights were scattered / misplaced / messy - looks very untidy.Confusing recycling - no bin for compost by hedge that we could see? So have left in kitchen caddy - I did text but gave had no reply
