This lovely detached lodge, where the owner lives just next door, has a private enclosed garden and decked seating area ideal for your four-legged friend, of which two are welcome free of charge and a third is chargable. The Wooden Lodge offers an open plan living space with a cosy wood burner in the living area for those cooler evenings, and a kitchen/dining area.
Set in peaceful Herefordshire countryside and with great links to the popular towns of Ludlow, Leominster and Hereford, there is so much to see and do in the area. There are plenty of stunning walks to choose from including close access to the famous Offa’s Dyke Path and the Mortimer Way. The market town of Presteigne is just 6 miles away and has a variety of independent shops and restaurants, and is also home to the award-winning Judges Lodgings Museum which is well worth a visit. Shop 4 miles, pub 2 miles and restaurant 6 miles.

We had such a relaxing time at the Wooden Lodge, which we booked for my special birthday. We stayed here about five years ago and wanted to come back, because the location (remote and beautiful) and the Lodge itself. It has everything what we needed for three nights break. There are three different seating areas, BBQ, enclosed, secure garden for the dogs, walks nearby, an ideal place for chilling. Just one thing: It would be nice for the owners to come and say hello at the arrival or in some point.

Absolutely cannot fault Wooden Lodge and particularly Ade and Sue’s hosting. The Lodge is in a peaceful location with spectacular forest views and surrounding countryside. It’s very well presented and has everything you need for a relaxing stay including 3 zoned outside areas in the wrap-around and fulluy enclosed garden, perfect for eating, relaxing and reclining. You are spoilt for choice!I imagine that it would also be lovely in the winter with the wood burner warming the cosy lounge area. Unfortunately, I was taken ill the day after our arrival but, at least my husband was able to stay and enjoy it with our dog for a couple more days and Ade and Sue very kindly looked after our dog, so my husband could visit me in hospital .. they even sent me flowers, which were much appreciated :)Overall, we highly recommended both the property and the hosts and hope to visit again sometime, without any interruptions!

One of the best dog friendly homes we have visited, nicely enclosed so you feel comfortable knowing that the dogs can run around and not get out.
