Turnip House in Shropshire receives high praise for its spacious, well-equipped accommodation and beautiful setting. Guests enjoyed the farm and spa facilities, with special mentions of the pool area and the opportunity to interact with animals. The property is ideal for family gatherings and offers a range of activities for children. The owner, Sara, is commended for her attentiveness and thoughtful touches, contributing to a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
Guests consistently noted the property was immaculate upon arrival, with spotless conditions and fresh flowers adding to the welcoming atmosphere. One mention of a kitchen smell and a burnt residue in the oven suggests minor attention may be needed, but overall, the cleanliness is rated very highly.
The property's location is celebrated for its picturesque Shropshire countryside and proximity to local attractions and walks. Some guests noted the approach roads were single lane and in poor condition, which could be a concern for visitors.
Reviews highlight the comfortable furnishings, cosy atmosphere, and well-appointed kitchen, contributing to a comfortable stay. There is a single mention of soft mattresses and a preference for firmer options, but overall comfort is highly regarded.
The range of on-site facilities, including games rooms, a tennis court, and a leisure complex, are appreciated by guests. However, some expressed disappointment regarding the additional cost and limited availability of the pool, and a few suggested improvements in maintenance and outdoor lighting.
The owner's thoughtfulness is frequently mentioned, with guests appreciating the homemade cakes, fresh flowers, and personal recommendations. While these gestures are highly valued, it is important to note that such personal touches, although common, are not guaranteed for every stay.

One of three superb Shropshire cottages, in a lovely rural location.
