Star Yard cottage is well situated in the centre of Tenbury Wells, offering easy access to local amenities and attractions. Guests appreciated the reserved parking, comfortable lounge and bed, and the welcoming touch of milk and biscuits on arrival. However, several reviews noted issues with cleanliness, maintenance, and a tired appearance. While the location and comfort were praised, some guests experienced problems with damp smells, cleanliness, and facilities. The property is suitable for short stays, but may benefit from a deep clean and some refurbishment.
Multiple guests reported issues with cleanliness, including dust, grime, unpleasant odours, and dirty carpets. Some guests felt the property had only been superficially cleaned for some time.
The location was consistently praised for being central, convenient for exploring Tenbury Wells, and offering easy access to local eateries and attractions. Reserved parking was also appreciated.
Guests found the lounge and double bed comfortable, and the central heating effective. However, the second bedroom was described as very small, and some towels were considered coarse.
The kitchen was adequately equipped, but poorly lit and lacking an extractor. Some maintenance issues were noted, such as wallpaper coming off, holes in plaster, and a wardrobe door coming loose. The shower temperature was inconsistent.
Several guests appreciated the thoughtful gesture of milk and biscuits on arrival, though such gifts are not guaranteed for all stays.

Our primary requirement for any holiday home is comfort and 1 Star Yard didn't disappoint. Both lounge sofa and double bed were very comfortable. The kitchen was adequately equipped but poorly lit with no light nor extractor over the cooker. We much appreciated the milk and shortbreads left for us by our host.We loved the area generally and the location of the property. Parking on arrival was straightforward, helped by the market owner who also pointed our the location of the property. There were one or two snags (aren't there always?). In particular, we would suggest any guests having sensitive skin to take (bring) their own towels. The ones provided were extremely coarse!

i booked this place but realised 36 hours later that I'd booked it by mistake. although free cancellation was available up to 24 hours after booking I hoped that the hosts would at least come to some compromise. They dismised my request out of hand.

The property was not in any fit state to stay. It smelt of dog and smoke, the carpets were filthy and the walls had big chunks taken out of them. We had no other options so choose to remain in the property and clean it ourselves but this is not acceptable. The kitchen equipment had dried on food. The coffee was all congealed as if it was out of date. The shower itself went hot and cold constantly. The hot was unsafe as it was so hot. The wardrobe door nearly fell on my daughter when I opened it. Again unsafe.
