This delightful semi-detached cottage is located in the heart of the 700-acre Netherley Hall Estate, on the west side of the Malvern Hills.. 1 step to entrance.

The Bothy is part of a collection of five superb holiday cottages on the Netherley Hall Estate, a family-run farm specialising in the breeding of cattle and sheep. Guests can enjoy marvellous woodland walks right from the doorstep, including scenic routes leading up to the iconic British Camp, part of the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The cottages are just a 15-minute drive from Malvern and offer panoramic views of the surrounding wooded hills and unspoilt countryside. The area is a haven for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts, with abundant wildlife to observe and excellent walking, cycling, and birdwatching opportunities. The nearby Worcestershire Way and Geopark Way are popular long-distance trails for more adventurous explorers.
Each cottage has been carefully restored using local materials, including English oak timber felled on the Estate. With a strong focus on sustainability, the Estate minimises the use of plastics in the cottages and promotes local produce. Guests also have access to a gym and tennis court, adding to the variety of leisure options during their stay. Nearby attractions include the Malvern Hills, Eastnor Castle, the Three Counties Showground, and Malvern Theatre.
The local area also offers golf, fishing, horse riding, and seasonal fruit picking. Families will enjoy visits to local cider orchards, historic market towns like Ledbury and Upton-upon-Severn, and nature reserves such as the Knapp and Papermill. There are plenty of farm shops, gardens, gift shops, and picnic spots to discover, with the nearest shop just 1 mile away and a welcoming country pub 2 miles from the cottage.

The Bothy has more to offer than the pictures suggest. The spacious lounge and rear bedroom are comfortable, with views of sheep in the fields, and hills luring you to take a walk. The kitchen/diner provides everything needed for a self-catering holiday. This cottage=style home-from-home welcomes dogs, but there was no sign or smell of previous four or two-legged guests; it had been immaculately cleaned, and was so welcoming with a thoughtful starter pack. We had a three-night stay, and wished we could have stayed a full week, so we will have to return to sample the true peaceful sanctuary of The Bothy. Huge thanks to our Hostess Kim, who made our stay extra easy with our slight change of plans. She followed things up to make sure we were settled in, and was on hand if we needed anything. We used Waitrose in Gt. Malvern for provisions, but Worcester is equally accessible. You can tour in all directions from The Bothy - South / Mid Wales, the three Cathedral Cities, or the edge of the Cotswolds to Evesham and Pershore. We visited Witley Court and Leigh Court cruck barn on our free day when we weren't meeting up with friends and family.

The Bothy was very clean and well equipped except for the provision of hand towels....usually one per person, but here just communal, so not really adequate.The location is quite remote, so you have to be prepared for very narrow lanes, reversing to allow other traffic to pass etc. The views from the cottage are beautiful , but our use of the garden was marred somewhat by barking dogs in the next property, which was a shame. Overall a very enjoyable stay in a lovely area.

Very well presented cottage with all the amenities you need. We slept really well in the very comfortable beds. The welcome pack was a lovely touch using all locally produced items.
