Lovely cottage and hosts but there are a few issues, it was dreadfully uncomfortable as the cottage was so hot, we spent a morning of our holiday driving looking for a fan to purchase to no avail, the TV seriously needs looking at, only two channels, so had no choice but to spend the evening outside and get bitten by mosquitos, the outside area needs tlc, we had a nice time but actually couldn't wait to get home.

The Smithy was a great base for a long weekend away, and would have been for a week too. There were lots of NT places nearby to visit and Witley Court (EH) and Church was only a 5 minute drive away. The church is known as one of the best baroque churches in England for a reason and a lovely contrast to Great Malvern Priory with the best medieval windows outside York Minster. We were pleasantly surprised at how lovely Worcester was too, a city worth visiting again. There were plenty of walks nearby and we were surprised at how many mature trees there were around, as well as orchards.The cottage was particularly clean and the mattress on the bed was extremely comfortable, one of the best we have found in cottages.com properties over the last 20 years. The hot tub was lovely to come back to in the evening after a day sightseeing.

Beautiful cottage, squeaky clean, comfy beds, loads of hot water. The hot tub was amazing - in a private and secure garden. Loved the decor, very rural. Bedding was lovely and starched. Well equipped for four. The only minus was proximity to main road - noise not noticeable in hot tub, or when the windows were closed.
