Guests say

Canalside Cottage is highly praised for its comfort, well-equipped kitchen, and beautiful location with great views. Guests enjoyed the cosy atmosphere, the garden, and the proximity to walking paths and local amenities. The welcoming touches and cleanliness are frequently mentioned, making it a favourite for many who plan to return.

Guests consistently note the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as very clean and well-kept. The attention to detail in maintaining a tidy environment contributes to the high score.

The location is celebrated for its beautiful views and proximity to walking routes, local pubs, and amenities. While one review mentioned a nearby road, the overall sentiment is very positive, with the canal-side setting being a highlight.

The cottage is frequently described as cosy, comfortable, and homely, with comfortable beds and a warm atmosphere. The presence of a log fire adds to the comfort level, although a minor note on steep stairs is mentioned.

Facilities are generally well-regarded, especially the well-appointed kitchen. However, some guests suggested improvements in garden maintenance and shower facilities, which slightly lowers the score.

Many guests appreciated the thoughtful welcome pack, which added to their positive experience. While such gestures are warmly received, it is noted that these are not guaranteed for every stay.

... it is clean, with comfy beds, well equipped.... lovely kitchen.... perfect position for walks. Food at White Lion pub walking distance. Beautiful view from lounge window... watching the boats on the canal. The shower was brilliant. (One tiny comment: no spare in either bathroom when it ran out.) Would totally recommend... and will book again.
