The Airy Hill Old Farmhouse in Whitby is praised for its spaciousness, good location, and suitability for families and pets. Guests appreciate the proximity to town and walking paths, though some noted areas for improvement in maintenance and amenities.
Most guests found the property clean and tidy upon arrival, with fresh flowers and a welcoming atmosphere. However, a few mentioned issues such as an unkempt garden and cigarette ends on the patio, suggesting room for improvement.
The location is highly regarded for its convenience, being a short walk from Whitby town centre and adjacent to walking trails. The proximity to a school was noted, but did not significantly impact the guests' experiences.
The farmhouse is generally seen as comfortable, with spacious rooms and cosy living areas. Some guests mentioned issues with bed sizes and a cold twin room, indicating that while comfort is adequate, there is potential for enhancement.
Facilities are adequate with a well-equipped kitchen and secure garden for pets. However, guests reported problems with Wi-Fi, showers, and a lack of certain kitchen utensils, suggesting that maintenance and updates are needed.
While some guests mentioned thoughtful touches like fresh milk and treats for dogs, there is insufficient information to determine consistency across all stays. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will always be provided.

Lovely home, very spacious and comfortable, very clean, perfect spot to walk into whitby, and to walk along cinder track, if I had to pick on something, not enough hangers, by door for coats, in room for clothes, teatowels in kitchen and towels in the bathroom, but everything else was lovely,

Thank you! Unfortunately, the shower in the family bathroom had an issue with temperature control. We could not use it at all for the duration of our stay as my son burned himself on the first night when the water was so hot. Every single person in our party attempted to adjust the temperature but it just would not move from very hot. Otherwise, the bath was great as were the other two showers. The bed in the master (where the fireplace is) was super comfortable and I slept very well (I often don't!). The living area sofas were extremely comfortable and easy to relax on. Loved the reading light as I am a bookworm. The only other thing I would mention is that the locks on the bathroom/toilet doors do not work and I hurt my finger on a nail on the banister repeatedly where it is jutting out. I had to hold on to the banister as the stairs are a bit steep which is how I managed to notice the nail. I also managed to sustain a cut to my palm because of the flaking metallic paint or whatever it was on the door handle on the outside of the front door when I locked it upon going out the first day. I would not typically describe myself as clumsy so maybe these minor things just need a quick tweak? All in all, a great location, lovely cool fresh air, amazing scenery, and the perfect type of layout for the dogs. The kitchen was well equipped and we used the washing machine a fair bit! We rent somewhere for a week every summer and it is interesting that some kitchens aren't equipped well enough for cooking and sometimes there aren't things like a washing line and pegs, so for our particular needs, this farmhouse was very good! I think the holiday property was very good value for money.

Superb position for access to the Cinder Track. Car parking was a bit tight for 2 cars. Hopefully will return in the future.
