Mallard Cottage in Whitby is highly praised for its cleanliness, modern amenities, and comfortable furnishings. Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, the lovely garden, and the proximity to Whitby centre and the coast. The location is generally well-regarded for its proximity to Whitby centre and local attractions. Some guests note the convenience of walking into town, although a steep hill is mentioned. The presence of a school nearby is noted but does not significantly detract from the overall positive feedback.
Guests find the cottage comfortable, with special mentions of the inviting beds and warm atmosphere. The presence of a downstairs bedroom is appreciated for accessibility, although some guests note the single beds could be more comfortable.
The property is praised for its modern facilities and well-equipped kitchen. However, some guests suggest improvements such as better TV services and additional storage. The garden and BBQ are appreciated features.

Whitby in North Yorkshire remains one of the regions most popular tourist hotspots, and with good reason. The town is at the mouth of the River Esk, and this old fishing port retains mush character in its winding streets and hidden alleys. There is a picturesque harbour, sandy beach and the famous Whitby Abbey. Close to other seaside destinations such as Scarborough, Staithes and Robin Hood's Bay, Whitby is also ideally placed for heading inland and exploring the beautiful countryside of the North York Moors National Park.

Wes nice to meet Beryl and John on our arrival. We had quite a damp week in February, and it was lovely and warm to come back to at the end of a day exploring. Thank you too for the treats!

The fact I could park the car and walk into town was great with a nice cottage to come back too. I would book Mallard cottage again.

(we only stayed 3 nights) All appliances looked brand new, they were spotlessly clean. There was only 2 of us but it could easily accommodate 4. Lovely to have tea, coffee, biscuits, sweets and even a small bottle of milk (which we didnât use thinking weâd need to bring out own) Patio area was lovely and wouldâve loved to use the bbq if the weather had been warmer. Log burner was a great touch, but the central heating kept the cottage cosy enough for us. Location was great as it was a pleasant walk into Whitby taking about 15 minutes. We would return at a later date and would definitely recommend to family and friends.
