We love this cottage and the private location. We stayed in April last year and the steam trains were passing through every day. This was great when sitting in the garden and you can see the steam rising up from the trains below together with the trains whistles. Just creates the atmosphere of Heartbeat tv programme. Log fires great and mega easy to light it. Really enjoyed the holiday.

We cleaner both. The kitchen had a rather unpleasant smell. We have stayed in 5 Sykes recommended properties but unfortunately this was below the standard we expected. The furniture & property is in need of some real TLC. Sorry to say this as the area is lovely but we were disappointed with our stay at Wychwood.

Easy to find if following directions, parking outside. Clean, cosy and homely, the organisation of the property is good. A welcome pack, preserves for sale at a reasonable price. Special touches were noticeable and appreciated. We slept down stairs and the bedding was feather down, a firm mattress. The area is quite special, if you want to experience peaceful scenery. We would visit again .
