Guests appreciate the well-equipped kitchen, comfortable beds, and the sunny garden with views. The property's proximity to local amenities and attractions adds to its charm. Some guests noted minor issues with storage and information provision, but these do not detract from the overall positive experience.

Guests consistently describe the cottage as spotlessly clean, indicating high standards of cleanliness throughout the property.

The location is highly praised for being within walking distance to Helmsley's market square, local shops, and restaurants, as well as being a great base for exploring the North Yorks Moors.

The comfort of the cottage is frequently commended, with guests finding the beds very comfortable and the property warm and cosy. Some guests mentioned a lack of storage space, which slightly impacted the comfort level.

The property is well-equipped with a traditional cooking range, washing machine, and a pleasant garden. However, some guests noted the absence of an information pack and minor issues with appliance instructions and storage, suggesting room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.

While some guests mentioned welcome gifts such as prosecco and biscuits, there is not enough information to determine if such gestures are consistent or to assess the overall thoughtfulness of the host. Therefore, it cannot be guaranteed that such gifts will be provided.

Beds comfy.and central location. We have stayed in many cottages in Helmsley and this is only the second one that has had parking which is a bonus. My only suggestion would be a chest of drawers next to the wardrobe for stays of a week. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend or return again.

The property was located in the ideal place for a week discovering the Yorkshire coast and moors. The house was well maintained and the off road parking was a bonus. It was also only a 2 minute walk into the centre of Helmsley which had a number of great places to eat and a Co-op. As a family who enjoy visiting Yorkshire we would definitely stop at Cliff House again in the future.

Well located to enjoy Helmsley!! Only improvement would be to be able to open a window for bit of fresh air!!
