Mill House in Hawnby offers a tranquil retreat with beautiful surroundings, comfortable en suite bedrooms, and a hot tub. Guests appreciate the property's cleanliness, cosy atmosphere, and the convenience of a village shop and tearoom opposite. The local pub adds to the charm. Some guests noted limited parking and Wi-Fi issues, but the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
Guests consistently describe the property as clean and tidy, with one mentioning it was 'spotless'. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is praised for its peacefulness, beautiful scenery, and proximity to walking trails and local amenities like a village shop, tearoom, and pub. The rural setting is a highlight, though some guests mentioned limited parking and the need for driving to access more activities.
The property is frequently described as comfortable, with 'super comfy' beds and a cosy atmosphere. However, a few guests mentioned issues with water pressure and the driveway, slightly affecting the comfort score.
Facilities like the hot tub, open fire, and well-equipped kitchen are appreciated, but some guests reported maintenance issues such as mould on the dartboard, a non-functioning toaster, and poor Wi-Fi connectivity. These issues suggest room for improvement in facilities and maintenance.
The welcome food hamper was a pleasant surprise for guests, indicating thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed and not all reviews mention them, the score reflects the positive feedback without setting an expectation for future guests.

We had a lovely time the house was warm and clean. However we were unable to use the hot tub when we got there on Friday as at 4.30pm in winter it is dark and there are no lights near it. A decent motion light attached to the outbuilding on the side where the hot tub is would resolve the situation. A path to the hot tub would also make it safer as the lawn is muddy and slippery when it has rained.

Beautiful house in amazing location in a quaint little hamlet with river frontage. The bedrooms and bathrooms are to a quality hotel standard. Living room with open fire perfect for family evenings and well equipped and nicely fitted out kitchen. The new for the season hot tub was a nice addition. The side gate for access to the drive is pretty narrow so larger vehicles may struggle. Overall a lovely pre Christmas break
