Mill House in Hawnby offers a peaceful retreat with beautiful surroundings, comfortable beds, and a well-equipped kitchen. Guests appreciate the luxury of a hot tub, the charm of the local tea shop, and the convenience of nearby walks and a gastropub. Some noted minor issues with facilities and Wi-Fi, but the overall experience is highly regarded, with many expressing a desire to return.
The property is consistently described as clean and tidy, with only one mention of damp in the living room. The high level of cleanliness contributes significantly to the overall positive experience.
The location is praised for its beauty and tranquility, with easy access to walks and a short drive to other attractions. The presence of a village shop and a gastropub adds to the appeal, although limited parking and the rural setting may not suit everyone.
Guests find the cottage very comfortable, with super comfy beds and a cozy atmosphere. The only minor discomfort mentioned relates to the hot tub temperature and the early check-out time.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and upgraded hot tub. However, there are several mentions of issues such as poor Wi-Fi, a moldy dartboard, and limited TV channels, which suggest room for improvement.
The welcome food hamper is a thoughtful touch that guests appreciated, although it's important to note that such gifts are not guaranteed. The provision of logs for the fire and en-suite rooms in each bedroom also demonstrate consideration for guest comfort.

Beautiful house in amazing location in a quaint little hamlet with river frontage. The bedrooms and bathrooms are to a quality hotel standard. Living room with open fire perfect for family evenings and well equipped and nicely fitted out kitchen. The new for the season hot tub was a nice addition. The side gate for access to the drive is pretty narrow so larger vehicles may struggle. Overall a lovely pre Christmas break

Great place for get together for 3 couples. Big dining room and en suite bedrooms in lovely location. Lots of walks from from door across York Moors. Lovely tea shop opposite. Parking limited to 2 cars but village car park nearby for 3rd car. Hot tub nice but across the muddy lawn which wasn’t ideal. Later check in and earlier check out than average - 4:30 and 9:30am
