Curlew Cottage is situated in a lovely rural area with amazing views from the wood fuel hot tub towards the Moffat Hills. Curlew Cottage offers the perfect holiday cottage for you to get away from it all and relax. It is delightfully decorated throughout, and a particular feature of the cottage is the large living room with low windows making the most of the views. There is a small snug with cosy open fire perfect for those chillier evenings. With a large kitchen/diner, three bedrooms and two bathrooms, Curlew Cottage will suit families or groups of friends to meet and enjoy. There is outside to enjoy too with its spacious garden and perhaps in an evening you can sit on the patio and marvel at the starry night skies. You can bring along one pet at no charge to share your holiday but an additional pet is at charge and by arrangement with the owner.
Amazing local towns nearby such as Lockerbie, Moffat and Thornhill. Situated just a few miles from the market town of Lockerbie, which provides all local amenities including some lovely little shops and restaurants. Lockerbie has a train station if you fancy a day trip to Edinburgh or Glasgow. However, Dumfries and Galloway is so beautiful there is plenty to keep you entertained during your stay at Curlew Cottage. The area boasts rugged coastlines and secluded sandy beaches with many beautiful gardens to explore. Enjoy world-class mountain biking, walking routes, riding, fishing and birdwatching all within easy reach.

The hot tub is wood fuelled. If you wish to use the hottub there is a nominal charge of £20 which includes the use of the hot tub for the duration of your stay and 3 tubs of logs, which is sufficient to get the tub up to temperature.
Tubs typically take 6-8hrs to heat depending on climatic conditions. It is the guests' responsibitiy to heat the tub. Logs are available to buy, but you are quite welcome to bring your own.

Emma was lovely to deal with and was there for assistance during our stay. The cottage itself was beautiful and where it’s located is only 10 minute drive from Lockerbie town where there is all the shops and train station. Beds are comfortable and clean. Heating the hot tub was probably the only slight negative because it took about 7 hours the first day but after that it was much quicker. We will definitely be back!!

Curlew Cottage has been amazing for the week in Scotland, the hot tub was amazing,the location was brilliant and the cottage was so clean and comfortable. Thank you so much Emma for a brilliant stay and the welcome pack was amazing.Highly recommend Dalscone Farm its brilliant for all ages. We spent a couple of days there. Lockerbie is great for food shopping at Tesco and also we used the train station there which was amazing but get there early for parking. We will definitely book again to come and visit.

Curlew cottage is the ideal location for a getaway break. A very comfortable cottage with picture perfect views from most windows and patio door.We explored the local area and also ventured down to visit Hadrians Wall, 40ish minutes south.The kitchen was well appointed and the beds were very comfortable.Two TV's, but no aerial to pick up terrestial channels, you had to use apps, but not really an issue.The hottub was big enough for 6 people, and took a few hours to heat up, and the water remained warm over night.Our one concern was the lack of privacy around the tub, as it's overlooked by the neighbours and can be seen from the minor road close to the cottage. It could be easily addressed, and in our opinion, should be.We recommend Curlew cottage for groups or couples.
