Private parking for 4 cars. No smoking.. Westlin is lovely detached house set quietly in the small village of Penpont. Enjoy a fun filled family holiday in Westlin which is a spacious house with plenty of space for all the family to enjoy. The spacious sitting room on the ground floor has a lovely large multi-fuel burning stove which is just amazing for those chillier winter evenings and with patio doors opening onto the garden in the summer it is just as lovely. The perfect spot to enjoy a wee glass of wine or 2! The kids are catered for just as well with their own sitting room with TV. Westlin is the perfect base for you to enjoy the area too.
Penpont itself has a small shop and is only 2 miles from the larger town of Thornhill where there are various boutique shops, supermarket, and several lovely Hotels where you can enjoy a meal. While enjoying your break at Westlin a must is a visit to Drumlanrig Castle, one of Scotland’s grandest Castles where you can take a tour of the Castle and the beautiful gardens and country park, the venue for many events throughout the year.
Cycling and walking are an absolute joy from your doorstep with quiet country roads for miles and the internationally recognised 7Stanes and the KM bike trail close by. With golfers’ welcome at Thornhill’s 18-hole course there plenty to keep all the family entertained. Further afield the gorgeous beaches of the Solway coast can be reached easily where you can potter around the delightful beach side villages of Sandyhills, Rockcliffe and Kippford.

lovely spacious cottage, well equipped, excellant duel fuel fire, loads of parking space, the beds are really comfortable, everything you need for a great family holiday is there and william the host is very helpfull. would definatly recommend.⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
