Guests say

Birch Corner is a well-received cottage in Aviemore, praised for its peaceful location, spaciousness, and enclosed garden ideal for dogs. Guests appreciate the hot tub, wood burning fire, and the proximity to town. The property is described as a comfortable home from home, with a few minor maintenance issues noted.

Most guests found Birch Corner clean and well-maintained, though there was an isolated complaint about cleanliness and dog waste left by a previous guest. The majority of reviews, however, reflect a high standard of cleanliness.

The location is highly praised for being peaceful, private, and within walking distance to the centre of Aviemore. The proximity to woodland walks and the secure garden are also appreciated, making the location almost ideal.

Guests consistently mention the comfort of the property, noting the spaciousness, well-equipped kitchen, and comfortable beds. The large garden and warm atmosphere contribute to the overall comfort of the stay.

While the facilities such as the hot tub and wood burning fire are highlights, there are several mentions of maintenance issues like blunt knives, a broken bed, and a problematic TV. These issues suggest room for improvement in this category.

The provision of a welcome basket with treats and the responsiveness of the property management to guests' needs indicate thoughtfulness. However, as gifts are not guaranteed for every stay, this is a delightful bonus rather than a standard offering.

We spent Christmas at Birch corner, we had the most wonderful time. The house was equipped with everything you could possibly need, everything was spotless and beds very comfortable. The only issue we had was the smart TV wouldn’t connect to the Wi-Fi in order to watch Christmas movies etc, I had read that the TV didn’t work as it should in previous reviews so messaged the manager before we traveled and was told that it worked perfectly so when we arrived and it didn’t this was disappointing, however a quick message to the lady managing the property and a lovely gentleman was there within the hour to sort the problem, it couldn’t be fixed so a fire stick was promptly delivered and this worked great. There is only a very small Tv in the large sitting room that has the log fire in and the large Tv is in the small sitting room, although the smaller room is cosy we struggled to fit everyone together comfortably together in this room, they really could do with putting a slightly larger Tv in the large sitting room. It wasn’t too much of a problem though and didn’t spoil our stay. Only a short walk into town where there are lovely shops and restaurants. The woods behind the house is a lovely place to go for a walk too. I would definitely recommend birch cottage and would visit again.

Lovely home from home. It had everything we needed for a relaxing few days away. Very peaceful location and private back garden. Location was great too and only a 20 minute walk into the centre of Aviemore. We would definitely stay again.
