We enjoyed out stay at Torland. Its a big house with plenty of space for a large group. The pool table was great fun. The owner was very friendly and we appreciated the gifts on our arrival.

Major ant problem that we were not informed about. Arrived to find any powder around kitchen skirting boards and in cracks of kitchen floor tiles. My daughter could not join us as she was bringing her dog as the ant powder presented a toxic environment. Owner did try to address my concerns raised by sending a neighbour with more ant powder! Subsequently a pest control company arrived but due to the amount of ant powder present he could not use professional methods of dealing with the ants. It would involve us having to leave the property as ant powder toxic when disturbed. Although he said we were probably disturbing it already by walking around the kitchen. Therefore I’m extremely angry that the owners of Torland knew were arriving with small children and a dog but chose to use a toxic substance to deal with the ant infestation and not contact us prior to arrival. No compensation has been offered and have received no apology that our holiday was ruined will not use company again
