Hen Felin Isaf is a beautifully restored cottage in a stunning, peaceful location with a thoughtful welcome. Guests appreciate the clean, spacious rooms, the well-equipped kitchen, and the cosy comfort provided. The fenced garden is ideal for pets, and the sound of a nearby stream adds to the tranquillity. Some minor issues with heating and TV operation were noted, but the overall experience remains highly positive.
The cottage generally receives praise for its cleanliness, though there were comments about a musty smell, surface dust, and dead flies on arrival, suggesting room for improvement in preparation for guest arrivals.
The location is consistently described as stunning and beautiful, offering peace and quiet with the convenience of being close to main roads and local attractions.
The cottage is noted for its spaciousness and warmth, with comfortable bedding and a cosy log burner. However, some guests experienced issues with heating and mustiness upon arrival.
While the cottage is well-furnished and guests are happy with the kitchen and bathrooms, there are mixed reports on maintenance issues such as non-working TV and radiators, and lack of clear instructions for the TV and fireplace setup.
Guests mention a very thoughtful welcome and gifts such as wine and crisps, which are appreciated. However, it should be noted that such gestures are a courtesy and not guaranteed with every stay.

Great location and loved listening to running water outside my room at night so relaxing. Bedrooms perfect & Bathrooms perfect. Clean bedding, towels and comfy beds. Drying room ideal as we had a wet day walking and plenty of appliances to keep things clean and dry. Kitchen ideal and had everything we needed. Dining space - excellent for the meal we had at the property Lounge - excellent, 3 very comfy sofas, good tv, log burner, wifi etc..... Bottle of wine and crisps left out for us on arrival - nice touch especially after 6 hours drive from Somerset. Check lightbulbs as a few did not work (did not affect stay but I know some like to complain!) Weather was not conducive to sitting outside but in summer a good bbq and patio area.

The lights and heating were left on for us so it felt warm and inviting when we arrived on a cold October evening. The property has been beautifully decorated and furnished and felt like a real home from.home. its in a great rural location, quiet except for the sounds of the stream running by. You coukd have been miles from civilisation when actually you are only 2 mins from the main road and access to plenty of places to visit, eat and things to do. A previous review said they couldn't work out how to turn the TV on and we would agree that its not too obvious and if you aren't confident it would be difficult and some written instructions would be good. Our only tiny criticism would be that from information provided, we had expected to be able to start a fire on the first night without having to bring anything but all there was was a log that was too big for the stove and newspapers. No kindling. So on our first night we had to go out to find logs and kindling. Otherwise, this is a great property and we would highly recommend. Thank you
