Situated just round the corner from the heart of the picturesque village of Aberdyfi (also known as Aberdovey), the cottage is a lovely base for families exploring the southern part of the breathtaking Snowdonia National Park. The cottage is ideally situated for experiencing Aberdyfi, with a fantastic variety of pubs, shops, cafes and restaurants just a few hundred metres away. Set along the north shore of the River Dyfi, Aberdyfi is also known for its championship golf course and for the Old Roman Road leading to Picnic Island. The beach is a short stroll from the door and leads along Cardigan Bay to the bustling town of Tywyn (4.5 miles) which is home to a vintage cinema and steam railway.
The front door opens directly into the bright open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner which provides a delightful living area for everyone to gather in. The light and welcoming lounge is a perfect space in which to unwind at the end of a wonderful day out, and features a TV, DVD player and two sofas so you can snuggle up and enjoy a movie. The dining table is ideal for gathering together and sharing a fantastic family meal which you can prepare in the fully equipped kitchen. The kitchen has a wide range of equipment including an electric oven and gas hob, microwave, washer/dryer, fridge and freezer. Steep, angled cottage-style stairs lead up to the first floor where you will find the two colourful, cheerful and cosy bedrooms. The first is a double room with plenty of storage space, and the second is a charming bunk bedroom. There’s also a shower room complete with a shower and WC.
A free car pass is provided, allowing free car parking in the pay and display car parks of Aberdyfi. The nearest car park is just 200 metres away, next to the beach.
