Driftwood Cottage in Aberdovey is praised for its cleanliness, well-stocked kitchen, and ideal location near Penhelig train station. Guests appreciate the cosy atmosphere, scenic views, and proximity to the beach and village. Some concerns about steep stairs and limited space for larger groups are noted.
Guests consistently mention the cottage's cleanliness, describing it as 'clean', 'lovely clean', and 'very clean'. The high frequency of these comments suggests a very high standard of cleanliness.
The location is frequently highlighted as perfect, with its proximity to the train station, village, and beach. The scenic views and peaceful setting contribute to its high rating, although some guests mention steep and slippery steps as a minor drawback.
The cottage is often described as cosy and comfortable, with a warm welcoming atmosphere and comfortable beds. However, some guests find the space more suitable for two people rather than four, and the steep stairs may pose a challenge for some.
Facilities are generally well-received, with a well-equipped kitchen and good amenities like a great shower and smart TV. However, some guests suggest the kitchenware could be refreshed, and the steep steps to the patio may limit its use.
While guests express overall satisfaction with their stay, there is no mention of gifts or special touches that would indicate a level of thoughtfulness from the hosts. Therefore, this category cannot be scored.

Warm, (it was November) welcoming and comfortable. Had everything we needed. Things that were particularly good - great shower, nice bedding (duvets and pillows) good size fridge and a smart TV. Nice quiet location.

We had a lovely week in Driftwood. We found the location perfect as you are slightly out of the village, but near enough for a nice walk down. The little train station at Penhelig is really useful as you can travel out and about without driving. The cottage was clean, and had all we needed - the kitchen was especially well stocked. Overall, a lovely stay in a warm, welcoming cottage.

The cottage is lovely and very cosy. The location of this property was perfect with some shops and restaurants down the road. We took our dog and struggled with the raised garden area, this is more of a patio area which is shared with the other houses which wasnt stated when we booked. Overall we had a lovely little break for my daughters birthday and would return.
